Face Of The Day: Lady In Red

I recently received some new makeup products from three all-natural brands (Modern Minerals Makeup, Genfiore Cosmetics and Red Apple Lipstick) that are all equally amazing and full of clean and pure ingredients. I am excited to showcase the incredible pigment in all three of these brands in this look that I put together. I hope you all enjoy it!

I only used four brushes (the eyeliner brush is not pictured above) for this entire look all from Modern Minerals Makeup. I am incredibly impressed with the quality of these brushes, they are soft and pack a lot of pigment!

Skin: I started by moisturizing my face with Evanhealy Whipped Shea Olive Leaf and then prepped my face with Vapour Organic Beauty Stratus Instant Skin Perfector.

Face & Cheeks: Modern Minerals Light Almond Foundation, Modern Minerals Heaven Blush with Genfiore Cosmetics Hydrasheer Pressed Mineral Blush in the color “Passion Rose” on top and used as a light contour. I used the same brush to apply all of these colors; the Modern Minerals Duo Fiber Skunk Brush.

Eyes: I started by applying Modern Minerals Oasis Eyeshadow (a gorgeous Turquoise + Teal color) all over the lid of my eye using the Duo Fiber Mini Round Brush and then lightly blended the same color into the crease using the Duo Fiber Tapered Blending Brush. To add more of a bright pop of color I applied Genfiore Mineral Pressed Eye Color in Mare Azzurro to the center part of my eyelid, I applied this using my finger because this picks up much more product and gives more pigmentation. To add some light to my inner eyes and browbone I applied Modern Minerals Seychelles Eyeshadow (a light shell pink). To finish the eye look I applied a tiny bit of Genfiore Hydrasheer Cream Eyeliner in Black using the Modern Minerals Duo Fiber Angle Brush to the outer part of my eye.

Lips: I wanted to make my lips stand out but not take away from the dramatic eye color so I decided to use a beautiful raspberry tinted gloss: Red Apple Lipstick Lipgloss in Queen Of Hearts has a wonderful shine to it and it also smells like spearmint!

  1. You look amazing! I’m so glad you are loving the lipgloss…the Mint 2 Be glosses are some of my personal favorites too 😀

  2. You, my dear, are a vision in red! But I’m also really loving the turquoise on the eyes. Hello, color! Where are you, spring? Lovely look as usual, and with some great makeup brands that I need to check out. Happy Friday, love! Miss ya 🙂

    1. You, my dear, are simply the sweetest! Oh how I wish it were Spring… soon enough!! You should definitely check them out, they are all wonderful, super pigmented and long-lasting! Happy Friday to you as well babe. Miss you! xoxoxo

  3. ooooh giiiirrrl. if i were to put on that eyeshadow i would look insane haha. i’m a yellow undertones/medium skintone girl and i just think i’d end up looking like mimi from the drew carey show haha. i love the lip color though and haven’t tried this brand. i’m always a little nervous about mineral makeup as it can break me out since my skin is combo trending towards the oiler side in my t zone. i am a slave to rms unpowder since it’s just silica!

    1. I am a firm believer that with enough blending ANYONE can pull of ANY color 😉 Funny about mineral makeup because I find it’s the best for breakouts. If I am having super sensitive skin or any breakouts, I always go back to mineral because it doesn’t clog my pores or feel too heavy. I do love rms unpowder as well! However, with mineral makeup I find I don’t even need to use anything for my t-zone.
