Outfit Of The Day | ♡ Spring is in the air and Butterflies are in my hair.

Today was absolutely gorgeous outside. I love the bright colors that Spring brings along. The flowers are all in bloom and the cold weather is finally gone. I was inspired to put this outfit together after receiving a few beautiful head pieces from Roses and Lemons. The lovely owner, Cecil Marie, specifically made this beautiful Butterfly hair piece for me and I am so in love with it. I love butterflies and the colors are so perfect for Spring. I combined the colorful hair piece with a beautiful eco-friendly purple agate pendant with vintage rhinestone brooch necklace by The Hemp Butterfly which just added more beautiful pops of colors to this look. Both of these pieces are handmade and you can find them on Etsy(info will be linked below). I think they blended so perfectly together I decided to go light with my makeup since the majority of the color is in my outfit but I opted for a bright pink lipbalm that I think complimented the colors very well!

Outfit of The Day | Pocahontas in polka dots and new puppy!

Yesterday was a magical day in my own enchanted little forest that I am lucky enough to now call my home. My best friend Natasha came by and we had a few cups of tea, lots of guacamole and chips and spent much time in the garden and the backyard taking in the beautiful views and taking photos together. Natasha was styled in a beautiful retro outfit and I was sporting the more bohemian look. Instead of clashing in photos together which we thought would end up happening, we were actually surprised at how well the photos came out of us together. She nicknamed my look “Pocahontas” because of my accessories

This dress is so comfortable and I love the flower print on the bottom half and the polka dots on the top of this. I had to wear leggings because it’s been chilly here in New York but I am hoping for warmer weather soon! I think this dress is cute with leggings and boots and would also look great with just a pair of flip flops! I can’t wait to wear more cute dresses this Spring!

Face of The Day and dinner in the city with friends

I wanted to get dolled up to go into the city on Saturday night for dinner to meet up with one of my very best friends in the whole world, Nour. We met online a little more than two years ago and became close instantly. We have skyped and talked a million times but to actually see her in person was such an amazing experience. I felt instantly comfortable and we had such a blast. Matthew and I drove into the city to meet up with Nour and her boyfriend Miguel who is so sweet and hilarious! It’s always a bonus when your friends other halves get along so well. We had such great conversations and every now and then me and Nour would leave the boys at the table to go into the bathroom and take photos together haha

This week I humbly bring you the wonderful and inspiring Wildlife Works. I originally started corresponding with Wildlife Works and was sent this amazing shirt more than a few months ago but have been so busy with moving to a new house and organizing that it took me awhile to get these photos up. I decided to pair this outfit with some beautiful handmade and eco-friendly jewelry from the lovely The Hemp Butterfly who I recently mentioned on my blog. The weather is finally starting to get warmer and it was so beautiful out today.

Look of The Day | Pretty In Pink – The Hemp Butterfly

Spring is almost here and I was inspired to do a colorful look wearing some new jewelry pieces. I am a huge lover of jewelry but over the years I have become more picky with my choices. I tend to reach for more unique pieces. I also love to wear more colorful designs during the Spring and Summer months and the jewelry I received from The Hemp Butterfly on Etsy are all so perfect for the upcoming months (or really any month!). The colors are so vibrant and quickly can change your mood from dull to cheerful. The work that has gone into these pieces are unmistakable and more than inspirational.

I am absolutely in love with everything I received from The Hemp Butterfly and have many more beautiful pieces to show! Everything is so unique and colorful. I also am trying out some new cosmetics from Real Purity and instantly fell in love with their Wine Lipstick. It is the perfect berry color that is super flattering, and I felt it paired perfectly with the jewelry.

Look of The Day | Hair Sticks, Upcycled Jewelry and Mineral Makeup

I have really been looking forward to doing an entire look incorporting all of the beautiful pieces I received from Heather of BluKatDesign on Etsy. Her pieces are unique and upcycled and I wore her earrings in a past blog post. I was especially excited to use her hair sticks! I had never used hair sticks before these and I had so much fun with these different hair styles.

I also am trying out some new mineral makeup from Purely You Minerals and decided to wear only their products in these photos. So far I absolutely -love- everything I have tried and will have a review soon.

Onto the hair sticks…

these are so much fun to play around with and so delicate and simple to spice up any outfit.

^ The first style I did with the hair sticks is a messy bun that I really liked and was super easy to do.

^ The second look I titled “cascading waterfall bun” because the way my hair cascades down reminded me of a waterfall.

^ the last look was just a very easy and messy semi-bun! I love how hair sticks make any hair style look prettier.

Look of The Day | Merrabbit Shirt, Bead Dangle Earrings and Hypercolor Hair Powder

This lovely eco-friendly T-Shirt inspired by Mermaids and Rabbits is by NYHop on Etsy and is made using only Non-Toxic Paints.

I did a post wearing a t-shirt dress by NYHop awhile back. I love all of Fleur’s designs,

I wear this shirt either dressed up with jeans or when I am doing Yoga. The material is SO comfortable! I love it!

I have been playing around with Anastasia’s new Hair and Brow Hypercolor Brow Powder.

It’s not 1oo% natural but since I only put it on the ends of my hair and it washes out with shampoo and water, I figured it was okay!

The powders don’t contain Parabens or terribly nasty ingredients and they are so fun to play around with.

These wonderful Purple Beaded Dangle Earrings are from BluKatDesign on Etsy who handmakes all of her own designs and many of her creations are upcycled.

She has such unique jewelry and I am excited to have a few more pieces to create looks with and show more here on my blog!

Look of The Day | Emerald Eyes and Feather Earrings

These beautiful Feather Earrings are Handmade by Yvonne who has a wonderful Etsy Shop and makes a plethora of different Feather Earrings, Hair Extensions and other odds and ends. All of her pieces are affordable and would be fun to give as gifts!

I particularly love her Long Elegant Feather Tassel Earrings which I am wearing in these photos. They make a statement without being overwhelming and add an instant pop of color to any look.

Eyes:

This look was really simple to achive and I only used a few products. I used MarieNatie Cosmetics Loose Mineral Eyeshadow in “Emerald” all over my lid and then added some of Zosimos Botanicals Loose Mineral Eyeshadow on my crease and lower lashine and lined my upper lower lashline with MarieNatie Cosmetics Black Eyeliner and to make the look more dramatic I added a pair of false lashes.

I love to discover brands that are passionate about what they make and I couldn’t be happier to be promoting such a wonderful and talented artist and brand. Sparrow Made Company is run by the lovely Angel Russell. She creates all of her items in her home studio located in Martha’s Vineyard, MA. She is an absolute sweetheart and truly one of the most talented artists I have had the pleasure of coming across on my new found obsession that is etsy!

All of Sparrow Made’s designs almost always include recycled, reclaimed, or found objects, and Eco-friendly, biodegradable materials. According to Angel she “tries to make as small an imprint as possible and also use recycled packaging and gift boxes.”

All of the feathers used in her jewelry are cruelty-free.

Her etsy shop consists of handcraft feather earrings, semiprecious stone jewelry, metalwork, crochet accessories, cowls, scarfs, hats, and bracelets made from new, recycled and reclaimed materials.

I am so thrilled to share with you two beautiful and unique sets of earrings that Angel made specifically for me to wear and share with all of my lovely readers!!!!

These earrings were inspired by Dream Catchers! Made with two quartz points, faceted brass beads, forged gold wire, and handmade gold filled ear wires.
