Review | Badger Seabuckthorn Apricot and Pomegranate Antioxidant Hair Oil

495

I mentioned this hair oil in my latest Current Haircare Routine blog post. I received some messages regarding the oil (how I use it, how it works for my hair, etc). I have used other oils in my hair before like Argan Oil, Coconut Oil and Jojoba Oil. I love to use all three of those oils to deep-condition my hair but was interested to try Seabuckthorn Oil.

The Ingredients are quite impressive:

Ingredients: *Simmondsia Chinensis (Organic Jojoba) Oil, *Helianthus Annuus (Organic Sunflower) Oil, *Prunus Armeniaca (Organic Apricot) Oil, *Punica Granatum (Organic Pomegranate) Oil, CO2 Extracts of *Hippophae Rhamnoides (Organic Seabuckthorn) and *Rosa Canina (Organic Rosehip), Essential Oils of *Lavandula Angustifolia (Organic Lavender), *Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Organic Sweet Orange), *Pelargonium Graveolens (Organic Rose Geranium), and Tocopherol (Sunflower Vitamin E). * = Certified Organic

Benefits:

  • Seabuckthorn Oil protects cells from oxidative damage and aids in collagen production (rich in Vitamins A, B, C, E, & K).
  • Apricot Oil easily penetrates the hair cuticle, delivering nutrition to dry and damaged hair (rich in Vitamins A, C, & E).
  • Pomegranate Oil contains high levels of antioxidants, and also promotes regeneration and strengthening of hair (rich in Vitamins B and C).

Description: Treat your hair to vitamin and antioxidant-rich oils and extracts, and watch the shine and luster return to overworked hair. We’ve selected our most powerful oils to deliver naturally occurring vitamins A, B, C, E, and K to nourish and replenish hair. Seabuckthorn and Pomegranate promote hair strength and elasticity, and Apricot is a potent emollient, imparting moisture and shine. Rosehip possesses regenerative properties, helping hair to return to its healthiest state.

Directions for use:
Step 1: Apply oil evenly to clean, dry hair. Amount will vary depending on hair type and length.
Step 2: Massage oil into hair and scalp. Work from the roots to the tips. Use a comb or your fingers to ensure even distribution.
Step 3: Allow oil to soak into hair for 1 hour or overnight. (Tip: use an old towel to protect your linens.)
Step 4: Shampoo and condition, then style as usual.

My Thoughts: I was particularly tempted to try out the Badger Seabuckthorn Hair Oil after reading many reviews on it. I have been a big fan of Badger ‘s products for years now and think they are one of the most trustworthy and clean brands out there today. I also think their products are very affordable and easily accessible which is always a bonus. I have tried many of their skincare products but never their haircare products so I was excited to try a sample size of this oil. I wanted to use this oil enough times before giving my full and honest opinions on the results and I have been consistently using it for more than a month now. I like to use this oil once a week for the perfect deep-treatment for my hair. I will either leave it on for a few hours or overnight and after washing the oil out and drying my hair, it instantly has a beautiful sheen to it. My hair has also been way softer than usual and just looks healthier. This oil is by far my newest favorite to use!

Over all I think this hair oil is a must have for anyone who is interested in treating their luscious locks to some good and clean hair-loving oils! Also due to the delicious scents in this oil it’s also a wonderful nighttime aromatherapy for the senses!

xoxo,

Britanie

    1. Definitely the badger oil! I love it. Aside from how much I love the scent, it’s just super moisturizing and really makes my hair look the healthiest after using on a regular basis.

      1. Thanks – I have feeling that I can’t buy this brand in the UK but I am going out to Maine in the summer so I’ll have a look out for it then. Love the new look to the blog by the way.

    1. I don’t like to but I do on occasion – usually if I am in a hurry or if I just don’t feel like waiting for hours for my hair to dry on it’s own! It’s hard because my hair is so long that it takes forever but for the most part I like to let it dry on it’s own.

  1. Hi Britanie! I’m so curious to hear how the new hair routine you described a few weeks ago is working out in general! I was inspired to buy the JR Liggetts bar soap and I quite like it but I still wash my hair every second day. Got my hands on some nice acv today though so I will try that as well!

  2. Hi Britanie! I’m so curious to hear how the new hair routine you described some weeks ago is working out so far? It inspired me to try the JR Liggett schampoo bar which I do like a lot except I still feel I have to use it every second day. Got my hands on some nice acv today though so now I can finally try that out! Cheers all the way from Sweden! /Amanda
