Brand Focus + Giveaway/ Now Foods

Back in June I was asked to become an Ambassador for the #NOWBeBeautiful Campaign with Now Foods/Now Solutions.
Basically the idea was for me to swap out many of my personal care products and instead use these supplied by NowFoods/Now Solutions instead. I’m so impressed with this company (and have been for many years). They offer superior and affordable skincare, haircare, essential oils, and so many other products. I encourage you to take a look at the site and I guarantee you will be as surprised as I at how much this brand has grown! I’ve purchased many essential oils from Now Foods before, but I had NO idea they sold all the products that they do NOW! Their products are derived from pure & natural ingredients, are free of harsh preservatives and are never tested on animals. They are committed to quality and are a perfect complement to living a more natural lifestyle.

I also want to say, “thank you” to Now Foods for offering my readers a chance to win these ten products shown below!! Giveaway open to US only at this time.

Vitamin C & Sea Buckthorn – 2 fl. oz.

Condition: Combination or dry skin with minor color imbalances, dull appearance, uneven tone, light scarring or imperfections caused by acne or other blemishes. Uneven skin in need of additional moisture and brightening.

Solution:  Vitamin C & Sea Buckthorn Moisturizer works with the skin’s natural chemistry to help lock in moisture and other vital fluids needed to improve elasticity, brighten dull or dark areas, and promote healthy tissue. Natural Vitamin E helps mend minor flaws and other visible imperfections common to sensitive and combination skin types.

My thoughts: I’ve really enjoyed using this moisturizer over the past few months. Vitamin C & Sea Buckthorn Moisturizer is gluten-free and vegan!  The scent is delicate with orange an grapefruit light and clean aroma. The formula sinks right into my skin and leaves it feeling just the right amount of moisturized. I’ll be reordering this.

Grapeseed Oil – 4 oz.

Condition:  Sensitive skin in need of an all natural moisturizer and protection from the elements, without clogging pores and causing breakouts.

Solution: Pure Grapeseed Oil is a light, odorless oil with mild astringent and emollient properties. This versatile oil contains numerous essential fatty acids including Linoleic, Oleic, Stearic, Palmitic, Myristic and Lauric. Its rich, silky texture is perfect for soothing away dryness and is suitable for all skin types since it won’t clog pores or cause break-outs. Grapeseed Oil is perfect as a base for lotions, and it’s mild enough to use as a conditioner for all hair types.

My thoughts: I’m such a fan of grapeseed oil and use it in so many of my DIY concoctions. I mix Now Solutions grapeseed oil with a few drops of lavender oil. I comb it through my through my hair and let it moisturize all night long. In the morning, after I  shampoo, my hair is so silky and soft. I also will put a few drops on my face before showering to allow the steam to really moisturize deeply.  This sensitive light 100% pure oil is a staple in my routine. You can use a tiny bit on dry hair for fly aways!

Red Clay Powder Moroccan – 6 oz.

Condition:  Sensitive Skin in need of detoxification to remove impurities and in need of a smaller pore size and tighter skin tone.

Solution:  Moroccan Red Clay is a natural powder clay that is highly absorbent and mixes easily with water and other moisturizing products.  It serves as an excellent facial cleanser and purifying masque, especially for individuals with sensitive skin.

My thoughts: I’m a fan of masks. However, I’ve been using them too much and I’ve now limited myself to once every two weeks. If you do them too much, you have the potential to draw out the toxins in your body too fast and it can result in more breakouts. You have to go slow! What I do is mix one tablespoon of Red Clay Powder, with one teaspoon with raw organic honey and a tiny bit of spring water. I apply it to my cleansed dry face (avoid your eyes and sensitive areas). I let it dry completely (takes about ten minutes), I then rinse off with warm (filtered water) pat dry and my skin feels so renewed!

Vitamin C and Sea Buckthorn Lotion – 8 fl. oz.

Condition:  Dry skin in need of a rich moisturizer that nourishes, brightens and helps maintain a healthy oil/water balance.

Solution: Vitamin C & Sea Buckthorn Lotion has been formulated to provide a nourishing layer of moisture to dry skin. Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Olive Oil help to protect and moisturize the skin. Vitamin C brightens the skin, while Vitamin E and Sea Buckthorn aid existing damage. Cucumber, Chamomile and Aloe Vera soothe, tone and hydrate the skin. Hyaluronic Acid and Marine Collagen work to protect elastin levels and draw moisture to the skin.

My thoughts: With the same crisp clean invigorating aroma as the Vitamin C and Sea Buckthorn Lotion (orange and grapefruit), I use this Body Lotion all the time. My poor sensitive skin gets so dehydrated. I drink 8+ glasses of water per day, and still my skin is extra dry and sensitive. This formulation sinks in just as quickly as the moisturizer does. I’m a huge fan of Shea Butter, Marine Collagen, Aloe Vera, Sea Buckthorn, and so many of the other skin soothing ingredients inside. The size of this (8 fl. oz) is such a great value for containing all these enriching ingredients. It’s also Gluten-Free!

Lavender Oil – 1oz

My thoughts: Where do I start about how much I adore this Lavender Oil? The health benefits alone are incredible. Lavender Oil has the ability to eliminate nervous tension, relieve pain, and can enhance blood
circulation. I always mix a few drops with a carrier oil such as Now Foods Sweet Almond or Grapeseed Oil. Before I go to bed at night, often I will  massage a small amount of this mixture
to the bottom of my feet. It’s so relaxing and the benefits are numerous. I always have a better sleep and the aromatherapy that Lavender Oil provides, helps me relax and just let things go so I can fall
into a deep restful sleep.

Suggested Use: For aromatherapy use. For all other uses, carefully dilute with a carrier oil such as jojoba, grapeseed, olive, or almond oil prior to use. Consult with an aromatherapy book or with a health care professional.

Rose Hip Seed Oil – 1 oz.

Condition:  Skin in need of a natural nourishing oil for cell renewal.
Solution:  Extracted from the seeds of Rosa mosqueta, Pure Rose Hip Seed Oil is rich in Omega-6 essential fatty acids. This oil can be used to aid in skin cell renewal to replenish a healthy glow and helps damaged skin.
My thoughts:  I use Rose Hip Seed Oil often to brighten my complexion and to help with hyper-pigmentation areas. I’ve found that Rose Hip Seed oil has been very therapeutic and has never clogged my pores. I like to rotate my choice of oils so that my skin doesn’t become sensitized to one in particular.

Vitamin C & Oryza Sativa Gentle Scrub – 4 fl. oz.

Condition:  Combination skin with minor color imbalances, dull appearance, uneven tone, light scarring or imperfections caused by problem skin. Skin needing gentle exfoliation and removal of dead cells and impurities.

Solution:  Vitamin C & Oryza sativa Gentle Scrub is formulated to provide gentle, effective exfoliation of damaged skin cells to help restore a more even skin tone and healthy complexion. Vitamin C, Niacin and Aloe Vera penetrate the skin to unclog pores without irritating sensitive areas. Rice bran (Oryza sativa) beads provide natural exfoliation while protecting skin from future damage.

My thoughts: I have ultra-sensitive skin, so I don’t use this on my face. I love this as a body scrub and find that the gentle formula made with rice bran beads are perfect for making my entire body feel rejuvenated.

Sweet Almond Oil – 4 oz. (Edible)

Condition:  For skin in need of clean and natural nourishment, as a moisturizer or for massage.

Solution: Pure Almond Oil is a natural oil that’s perfect for nourishing and reviving any skin type.  Almond Oil is easily absorbed and won’t clog pores, promoting clear, soft, healthy skin.  This natural skin-nourishing oil is ideal for the entire body.  Almond Oil is a natural oil derived from pressed almonds.  Vegetable-derived oils date back to Biblical times, when they were mixed with fragrant herbs to create traditional ointments.

My thoughts: Now Foods Sweet Almond Oil is one of my favorite products to use as a skin moisturizer just straight out of the bottle. I use this on my face and entire body for skin nourishment. Often I’ll add a few drops of Rose or Lavender Essential oils to the almond oil and this combination is so relaxing to apply after a shower when my skin is still moist. When I’m dry, my body feels smooth as silk.

Coconut Oil – 7 oz.

Condition:  For skin, hair and scalp in need of a conditioning moisturizer.

Solution: Natural Coconut Oil is rich in skin-friendly saturated fats, making it perfect for use on all complexions. This unique oil goes on smooth to leave skin feeling silky and refreshed. It also serves as a natural alternative to chemically formulated commercial moisturizers, oils and scalp conditioners. NOW® Natural Coconut Oil is considered food grade.

My thoughts: I love everything about Now Foods Coconut Oil. I pretty much would name this oil as the multi-tasker hero that should be on everyone’s beauty shelf. From using it all over my body for a moisturizer, to warming a small amount and combing through my hair, the possibilities are literally endless. I also make sure to put a teaspoon in my shake every morning. I encourage everyone to study the benefits and I guarantee, you will find a way to get this beauty oil into your life!  For a quick DIY, take an organic sugar packet, mix with a bit of coconut oil and voila, you have a ready made lip scrub. I’m such a fan! If you are traveling and are only allowed one product, choose coconut oil.

Nature’s Microdermabrasion – 2 fl. oz.

  • Volcanic Sand Facial Scrub
  • Paraben Free

Condition: Dull, lifeless skin or flaky skin in need of refinement. Provides similar benefits as popular spa treatments without using aluminum crystals.

Solution: Nature’s Microdermabrasion is formulated with volcanic sand instead of harmful aluminum crystals to provide more natural and aggressive exfoliation. Together with Vitamin C, volcanic sand brightens the complexion, restores lustre, refines skin texture and reduces the appearance of discoloration, imperfections, and wrinkles. Squalene, Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Avocado Oil aid in restoring moisture and protecting the skin from environmental factors

My thoughts: My sensitive facial skin loves using Nature’s Microdermbrasion. I use this once every two weeks (a tiny amount goes a long way). For skin cell exfoliation the volcanic sand is the perfect size granule for a light but thorough sloughing off of the dead skin cells. With Extra Virgin Olive and Avocado oils combined it will leave you with baby soft skin. I also use this on problem areas that need extra exfoliation such as my elbows, knees and the soles of my feet. This is gluten-free and vegan, too.

  1. I have used the NOW Almond oil in the past (especially love it on my hair ends) and winning these products would be the greatest gift! My gut has been particularly horrible lately (left the hospital a week ago) + I can’t think of a better way to gently treat myself than with the Vitamin C and Buckthorn lotion. Thank you for the chance.

  2. I love using NOW Sweet Almond oil after taking a shower. It leaves my skin feeling so soft. I would love to try Nature’s Microdermabrasion for my sensitive skin. 😃

  3. I have tried the NOW lavender oil. I put a couple of drops of the Lavender drops on my pillow so I can smell it as I go to sleep. This helps me to relax and fall asleep quickly. It smells wonderful. I would like to win this beauty haul because I am pretty new at finding my way into green/non-toxic beauty products and with the variety of stuff out there I feel lost. I think this would be a great way to try a few new things before I can be sure what I would like to invest in. Besides, my health store has a whole line of NOW products to choose from so if I enjoy these products, I would certainly have a very easy access to them! Thanks for the opportunity 🙂

  4. I’ve used their Eucalyptus Essential Oil before and LOVE it in the fall and winter when I am constantly facing a head cold – I would love to try more of their things especially the Microdermabrasion for the leftover scarring from my college acne years.

  5. I use their Eucalyptus Essential Oil every time I am stuffed up in the winter and fall! I would love to try the Microdermabrasion though to combat my scarring leftover from college acne.

  6. I am following both of you in every way @ErinLoves2Run and Erin Ellis. I have not tried their products, but my neighbor has the and swears by them all. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

  7. My cosmetics and skin care (including lotion etc) are now about 95% cruelty free. I work hard at finding brands that are also non toxic and green and natural. I haven’t tried the NOW line yet but it sure looks amazing and I’m so sure I would love many of them. The ingredients look wonderful. Thanks.

  8. I too use Now Almond Oil (to seal moisture into my curly hair in the winter and humidity out in the summer) and I love it! I also always have a few of their supplements in my rotation. I would love to win this to both replenish my oils (of course I’m a big fan of coconut and essential oils!) and to have the opportunity to try out the scrubs and lotions. I love anything orange and grapefruit scented!

  9. All of these products look great! I’m slowly trying to switch to natural and organic products. This would be a great start!

  10. I have not tried any of the Now Foods products, but this review has certainly made me interested in the brand. I am switching my skincare to natural products and this would make a great introduction to the field.

  11. I have not used Now Food products, yet. In my senior years, my skin has become dry and these natural products would seem to me that they could help. I am particularly interested in the Coconut Oil.

  12. I have never tried all natural skincare before but am eager to see what effects i they have to offer. This giveaway is the ultimate trial offer for any skeptics out there!

  13. I use Now Foods Vitamin C and Manuka Honey Cleanser 2x a day and would love to try other products by this brand, so I can replace all of my beauty products that are not natural!

  14. I’m not on FB or Twitter, but I’m following you and Now Foods on IG! I’ve been using NF’s essential oils and jojoba oil for awhile, but haven’t really branched out into their skincare line yet. I’d love to try these…what a great set! That microdermabrasion sounds wonderful for dry winter skin. And if it doesn’t irritate your sensitive skin, I know it should be gentle enough for me. 😉 (I’m also intrigued by Paula’s comment about the almond oil for curly hair. Gonna have to try that.) Thanks so much, Now and Britanie!

  15. Liked and followed on all of the accounts. I have never tried these, but would love to. I love to use natural oils, and I love the scent of lavender.

  16. I would have to say that I would love to try all of the products. Never heard of them before but love the benefits.

  17. I have yet to try any of their food products. I have tried many of their supplements and think they are a terrific quality so that is the reason that I would love to win this. I would love to try all of the natural oil products.

  18. I’ve tried the Rose Hip oil and loved it, as well as a few essential oils. I’m tried to replace all my products with natural ones when they are empty and the funds are in my bank account. So far, the changes I’ve made to natural products have made my skin so much healthier, less sensitive, and my acne is going away! It’s a long journey, but so worthwhile. Thank you and Now Foods for doing such a generous giveaway! I’ve followed and liked both accounts.
