What I’m Loving Lately

I can’t believe I haven’t done a What I’m Loving Lately post in almost a year! Time flies by too fast. I need to start doing these posts more because there are so many things I am loving so much of the time and it’s fun to compile them all together to share with you 🙂

what im loving lately***

SkinFare Apothecary Prime:

Apothecary Prime is described as “a sweet and sensual concoction, like smelling a magical flower;  chamomile, sage and thyme combine to heal, soothe and clarify any surface of your skin.” . I keep finding new ways to use this convenient coconut oil stick. My current favorite way to use it is for my nails. I apply this nightly on my cuticles and all over the surface of my nails, massage it in and it sinks in within minutes and I swear my nails grow so fast when using this. Not only that but they have never looked healthier before. I never was one to take care of my nails but now I find it very therapeutic to massage oils into my nails at night. The scent of this is so calming it’s also wonderful for hands, feet, body and even as a makeup primer!

Burt’s Bees Citrus Facial Scrub:

I have been using this facial scrub on and off for years now. It was one of the very first clean products I ever used and fell in love with. When I first started my blog it was the only facial scrub I used and I even mentioned it on my beauty regime over on The Clean Beauty Blog over a year ago. I put this product on the back-burner for awhile because part of my job is to test out new products but I recently had to have it in my life again, I crave it especially in the Fall months because the scent is literally like Pumpkin Pie. The only downfall to this scrub? it contains “Fragrance”. I have been letting that slide lately because I do love this scrub but I will be looking for alternatives! I have my eye on Roots Rose Radish Honey Pecan Rose Face Cleanser!

Neroli Essential Oil:

Neroli is one of those scents that instantly calms me. It has the ability to make me feel better with just one whiff. It has been used for anxiety and stress and is wonderful for your skin, hair and body. Here are a some of my favorite products that all contain Neroli: R.L. Linden Thousand Petal Beautifying Mist (reviewed here), H.G. Gillerman’s Neroli Face Oil , Pelle Beauty Luxe Oil, Lina Hanson Global Face Serum, Pai Lotus & Orange Blossom BioAffinity Tonic.

Jasmine Tea:

I have always loved the scent of Jasmine but lately I can’t seem to get enough of it. Jasmine tea is one of my all-time favorites. I absolutely love the taste of it and find the ritual of making it to be very relaxing. It’s my favorite to drink in the afternoons. This is one of my favorite Jasmine teas because it’s super affordable and organic!

Osmia Organics Purely Simple Face Cream:

I reviewed this cream here, over a year ago and when I ran out of my bottle I tried to use other creams and moisturizers but none of them work like this one. This cream sinks into the skin so quickly and leaves my skin so unbelievably soft. It’s also great for sensitive skin and has helped with eczema, redness, and dry patches.

American Eagle Jeggings:

I absolutely love these jeans. I now own three pairs and want more. I usually have a hard time finding jeans that fit me properly because I have me some curves and usually jeans are either too baggy or too tight. These jeans are so unbelievably comfortable and it makes me so happy to actually own a pair of jeans that I look forward to wearing.

Kind Bars:

I always carry some type of bar in my purse at all times and lately I have been reaching for Kind Bars. I love all of them. They are delicious, filling and healthy!

  1. How awesome are the SkinFare coconut oil sticks?! I have the Verdant Remedy, which I got from my Goodebox, and it’s so refreshing. Perfect for chappy and awkward dry spots.

Love love Jasmine Teas. I noticed on Instagram that you got some Harney & Sons tea (which I also love). Did you ever try their Jasmine black tea? I sampled it in their store and it’s sublime. The jasmine is sweet and subtle!

    1. I have only tried the Apothacary Prime stick so far but I must try them all! I am a bit obsessed. I just think they are wonderful and so easy to carry around everywhere and have so many purposes. I will have to try Verdant Remedy next!

I haven’t tried Harney & Sons Jasmine Black tea but will next time I am there! I love their teas so much and I just adore Jasmine tea. The taste is so sweet and intoxicating!

      1. Have you guys ever tried Steepster? It’s an online community for tea lovers. I signed up last week, but haven’t had time to explore yet. I am a huge tea fan and love experimenting with different blends. I just tried some samples of Marble & Milkweed’s teas and they are all SO yummy-Briar Winters is the awesomeness! DavidsTea also has some amazing blends.

      2. Harney & Sons Jasmine black tea is amazing! I approve, it’s lightly fragrant and sweet. Just gorgeous.

Everyone’s been raving about Osmia.. that good eh? 🙂

  2. I am SO glad to see that you’re a fan of Apothecary Prime, as well (it’s my fav)! I adore all of SkinFare’s coconut sticks and the founder, Kara, is amazing. Will you be reviewing Pelle Beauty Luxe Oil? Marnie was nice enough to hook me up with a bunch of samples and I’m hooked! The whole “fragrance” thing was a turnoff for me with the Burt’s Bees scrub. There are some amazing alternatives, though: Suki, Roots Rose Radish, Marble & Milkweed, Bryce, OLO’s Brand New Day. My absolute favorite exfoliator is O.R.G. Skincare Mineral Peel-can’t live without it!
    Thanks for the awesomeness!

    1. I LOVE Apothecary Prime! It’s just so wonderful. So happy you are a fan also 🙂 I will definitely be reviewing Pelle Beauty Luxe Oil. I am currently testing it out and am so far in love with it. Marnie is the sweetest. I am bothered by “fragrance” in the Burt’s Bees scrub also, it makes me sad because everything else in it is just wonderful and I love how it makes my skin look and feel. I will be looking for alternatives though and the Roots Rose Radish Honey Pecan Cleanser is what I want to try next. I will have to look into O.R.G.’s Mineral Peel – I have never heard of it! I love learning about new brands and products so THANK YOU! xx

      1. I highly recommend the ORG mineral peel! Spray it on and the dead skin quite literally rolls off when you rub it in (must watch their demo). They have a body version, as well.
I love RRR Honey Pecan Cleaner mixed with a few drops of their Citrus Oil Cleanser, Cleansing Grains, and Marble & Milkweed’s Rose & Chamomile Cleansing Nectar…uber masque! When I really need a boost, I add a few drops of Intelligent Nutrients Intellimune Oil. Marble & Milkweed has a products that are very similar to RRR & I simply cannot decide which brand I prefer! I am more fond of M&M’s Perfume Serums…intoxicating doesn’t even begin to describe them. Of all the brands and products I’ve tried, those two top the list for my “steady”!

  3. I love SkinFare’s sticks too! A product with some many uses. I use it as a makeup prime ( works amazing), dry pat areas, lips as a night remedy to wake up with soft smooth lips and makes any lipstick go on smooth ( as it helps with chap and crack lines). I also use it for my hair fly always and to condition my ends. also works get healing paper cuts it takes away the stink and heals small cuts too.I honesty can’t live without this product and it a must have in a girls bag. All smell amazing too. Ok, I am done now barging about SkinFare’s greatest 😉

    1. I use it for my hair, too! It really is perfect for just about everything…yay, super balm! I’ve been putting it on my eyelashes in lieu of mascara & that works wonders. All five “flavors” are fab!

  4. AE just recently had a 40% off everything sale and I bought the high waisted jeggings in every color available. All of my other jeans have now been shoved to the back of my closet because I don’t need anything else. It seems like such a basic thing, but these seem to fit every body type of every friend I have perfectly and dress up and down beautifully. Ahh, perfect jeans acheived without $$$$$$

I also had a sample of that Osmia face cream and now nothing else compares, I am going to have to buck up and buy some more soon, especially with winter coming on!

  5. Right now I’m loving the R&B cream of Lush! I never tried a product from Burt’s Bees before, I definitely need to do that! Thanks for the products that you are sharing, always nice to meet other brands.

  6. Britanie, do you have any tips for how to build up a clean skincare/makeup collection? I just got into the non-toxic makeup scene this year, and there are about a MILLION products I want to try…but with monthly school loan payments and a very modest income, I feel overwhelmed at the prospect of overhauling all my beauty products.

  7. Loved this post. Seriously a good big cup of Jasmine tea can make everything better, am i right?! I’m currently looking for a nice new autmish mug that i can use to get my Jasmine (and green) tea ready. 🙂 Do you have a favorite one?
