My Top Four: Favorite All-Natural Concealers

When I first embarked on my natural beauty journey and made the decision to switch all of my products over to only non-toxic options, one of the main products I was the pickiest about replacing was my concealer. Between chronic under eye dark circles and allergy-induced redness around my nose, concealer is something I have always relied on.

I can and often do go without foundation but I love to have a concealer with me just to cover up the basics: darkness, redness and the occasional breakout. My staples used to be MAC Pro-Longwear and Benefit Bo-ing concealers. They were what I used on a daily basis and they worked at covering up what I needed to so I was very skeptical about finding a decent natural alternative to them. I decided that I would try out as many all-natural concealers as I could get my hands on (and afford) in order to find the best clean replacements.

I can honestly say that I have found absolutely fantastic concealers that do the job and don’t leave me ever missing my old chemical-filled choices anymore! I narrowed my picks down to four staples of mine and will give a quick review of each so you can decide which would suit you best if you are looking for a good natural concealer!

1.) RMS Beauty “Un” Cover-Up

“Formulated to reveal and enhance healthier looking skin…not just cover it up. Completely lightweight and hydrating to the skin, the ‘un’cover-up will reveal more youthful and radiant skin. Minimizes the appearance of pores and rejuvenates the skin.”

I use the shade “11”. I love this product and enjoy using it as an all-over foundation as well as a concealer. The only complaint I have ever had with this product is that it is a tad bit too yellow for me. I have very fair skin and sometimes when a concealer is too pink or too yellow it comes off as a little dark on my skin tone. But if you are a fair-skinned girl like me you will be excited to hear that RMS is coming out with an even lighter shade soon! The main ingredient in this concealer is organic coconut oil. For me I find it helps to moisturize my skin and gives a beautiful and natural glow to the face. The coconut oil has never made me break out, if anything it seems to help with breakouts which I think is due to the anti-bacterial properties found in coconut oil. This product is a must-have for me and one that I will always recommend to everyone.

2.) SukiColor Correct Coverage

“sukicolor is active skincare meets pure mineral color. this super light concealer begins with sukiface balancing day lotion plus 100% pure mineral pigment & adds advanced actives – caffeine for anti-puffiness, redness & circles & salicylic acid for reducing bumps & swelling. whipped matte formula creates a line-free look, providing flawless coverage without a greasy feel.”

I use the shade “Buttercream”. This concealer is my latest purchase and discovery. I love Suki’s entire skincare line and am very impressed with the sukicolor line as well. The tinted moisturizer is one of my favorite products so I was tempted to try out this concealer. Firstly the packaging is wonderful. It comes in an easy to carry and portable compact with a mirror (love that!). The product itself is very creamy and has an almost mousse-like texture. When applied to the skin with fingers, it blends beautifully and when set with a light powder, lasts all day with little to no creasing. It also contains salicylic acid which is great for fighting bacteria so it is ideal for applying on blemishes. I also love that this contains caffeine which is wonderful for those with puffiness!

3.) Christopher Drummond Duo Phase (Reformulated to be – Hynt Beauty Duet Concealer)

“Duo-Phase Concealer is a nourishing spot treatment that provides opaque coverage to any discoloration, including acne, age spots, and dark circles. This lightweight formula offers amazing coverage and blendability in any area it’s applied. This product has the perfect slip that melts into your skin and has the capability to adjust to your skintone.”

This was the first all-natural concealer that made me believe in natural concealers altogether! I truly fell in love with this product immediately after using it. It offers the highest amount of coverage of any other natural concealer I have used thus far. If you are looking to really cover up something, this is your best bet and definitely the best at covering my under eye circles! It doubles as both a foundation and concealer. This concealer also lasts all day and has never once creased on me.

4.) MyChelle Concealer

“This heavier coverage concealer makes flawless skin a simple reality. Its convenient compact design and creamy, non-powder consistency ensure an easily accessible, on-the-go spot treatment that blends perfectly with your skin’s changing needs. Therapeutic ingredients such as grape seed oil and passionfruit extract boost its effectiveness by protecting and nourishing the skin.”

I use the shade “Creme”. Though described as “heavier coverage”, I find this concealer to be extremely natural looking and is one I would recommend to those who are looking for a lighter coverage. With that said, this concealer is very buildable and layers well over other concealers. This is probably my favorite concealer out of the bunch for specifically brightening my under eye area. It also smells delicious. Like fresh fruit. It’s super convenient for travel and carrying around in your purse. It is my favorite for on the go touch-ups.

In Short:

RMS Beauty “Un” Cover-Up is my favorite all-around base product for coverage and hydration.

SukiColor Correct Coverage is my favorite blemish and redness treating concealer.

Christopher Drummond Duo-Phase is my favorite higher-coverage concealer.

MyChelle Concealer is my favorite for brightening and touch-ups.

  1. The RMS Un Cover Up was one of my first non toxic buys! I love how natural it looks on the skin and wear it as an all over foundation as well. It isn’t *quite* bright enough to conceal my dark circles so I’m still looking for another one. It sounds like I should give the Christopher Drummond one a try!

  2. Love this! I’m definitely tempted to try out Christopher Drummonds concealer now because it’s always nice to have a concealer around that offers great coverage when you need it. Thanks for the recommendations Britanie! Xo, Audreiana from True Beauty By Nature

    1. Thank you 🙂 The Christopher Drummond is the perfect concealer for when you need added coverage. It works amazingly well. So happy you found these recommendations helpful 🙂

  3. Thank you for this useful post! I’m on the lookout for a solid concealer and I haven’t tried any of the ones you wrote about. I’ve just finished using a Vapour illusionist concealer sample and it was quite nice, but I really want to try some more to see which one would work great on my skin. I haven’t tried any RMS Beauty products yet, so maybe I’ll get my hands on “Un” Cover-Up or Christopher Drummond.
    Have a lovely day 🙂

    1. Hey Liz,
So happy you like this post. I really love Vapour’s Illusionist and it almost made it into my favorites but sometimes it’s just too sheer on me. Let me know if you try the RMS or Christopher Drummond – both are wonderful!

  4. I only have the RMS un cover up and I love how it blends so easily but I think it does break me out a little, so sad!! I didn’t know Suki had a makeup range, I don’t think it’s available in the UK but I would love to try that concealer! 🙂
    xo

    1. Some people say that the Un Cover Up breaks them out and I think this happens if you have a sensitivity to coconut oil. I find it helps with breakouts but you could always just use it under your eyes and use another concealer like the suki one for your face. Suki has a tinted moisturizer, concealer and lip palette! I love all of them.

    1. I can’t wait to for the lighter shade of Un Cover Up! So excited for it. I will have to look up Une’s Skin Glow Pencil – i’ve never heard of it!

  5. Dammit! I want to try all of these now! I’m currently using Jane Iredale’s disappear which does the job, but really wanting to try something different. I too get redness around the nose and a little in between my brows. I’ve never understood why, might have to make sure I don’t have any allergies :s

    Mayah x

    1. I do love Jane Iredale’s disappear concealer as well. It’s a great product. I like to switch it up from time to time though. I always get redness around my nose and contribute it to allergies. I would get a check up and see if you are allergic to anything. Mine is due to dust mites and seasonal allergies so it’s just something I deal with but these concealers really take care of the redness!!

  6. Ooh, great post Britanie! I just switched from Jane Iredale concealer to RMS. I’m mostly happy with RMS, but now you have me eying the MyChelle concealer. Thanks for your input:)

    1. Thank you! RMS Un Cover Up is really wonderful. An absolute favorite of mine. The MyChelle is great because it layers well over other products so if you needed more coverage it’s great to carry with you on the go and it’s also good for highlighting!

  7. I finally found my HG natural concealer for under eyes in Studio 78 Paris. Creamy yet dries somewhat matte…blends very well and provides medium to high coverage. LOVE IT! Unfortunately I have yet to find a great concealer for redness and blemishes. I might have to give Suki a try.

  8. I finally found my HG natural concealer for under eyes in Studio 78 Paris. Creamy yet dries somewhat matte….blends well and provides medium to high coverage. LOVE IT! Unfortunately I’m still on the hunt for a concealer for redness and blemishes. Perhaps I’ll give Suki a try!

    1. Studio 78 is my next concealer to try, I keep hearing great things about it! I would definitely try Suki’s concealer for blemishes + redness because it works really, really well!

  9. I love the RMS Un-cover up! Def need to try these other ones though because RMS doesn’t totally cover up my tired eyes on days when I haven’t slept LOL. Thanks for sharing these!

    1. I totally understand! I get horrible dark circles and sometimes certain concealers just aren’t enough. I find that the suki and christopher drummond concealers really work well at canceling out the darkness!

  10. I currently have a sample of RMS Un-cover up and find it’s a little too tacky for my taste. I do love how pure the ingredients are. I have dark eye circles and redness around my nose and chin, so I am looking for a multi-tasking product that offers more coverage. I have wanted to try Christopher Drummond for a while now because of all the good reviews I have read. Suki and MyChelle also look like good options to try based on your reviews. I’m a bit skeptical about using a stick concealer for under eyes tho…

    1. Hey. Have you tried blending the Un Cover Up really well? and also using it over a moisturizer? I would definitely give Suki a try if you are looking for a good multi-tasking product. It’s great for the under eyes and also wonderful for redness!

  11. I have fair skin with cool undertones. I’m prone to redness on my cheeks, chin and around my nose, I ALWAYS have dark circles around my eyes and I would like to cover sun spots. My skin is normal to dry. If you had this type of skin and could only get one concealer, which one would you recommend? What foundation would you recommend for light coverage and easy application?

    1. I hear you on the dark circles! I always have them too,no matter what I do. I would recommend the Suki concealer because it’s light to medium coverage (depending on how much you apply) and it blends really, really well and works great under and over foundations. It can also be worn on its own. I find it’s also really good for my dry skin.

  12. Hi Britanie!
Thanks for the post! Comparing those four to Jane iredale circle delete, which works best to conceal undereye darkness?

  13. I use Eve Organics Beauty Stick Concealer. It’s covers my hyperpigmentation and matches my skin tone perfectly.

  14. can you suggest a concealer for redness not from acne, for very fair teenage skin? (organic/ natural )

  15. I love, love, love RMS Beauty concealer and cream blush. It is the best foundation I have ever tried. It gives the skin a natural, smooth, silky look as if I have flawless skin without wearing any makeup.
I also tried their mascara but that was a disappointment.I Think it´s actually the worst mascara I have ever tried.
I´m always in search of the best organic products and I´m writing rewievs on my blog. Maybe you want to check it out?

  16. Hi Britanie, Im looking for an organic concealer that is healthy for my under-eyes. Im Asian but I have a quite fair skin color with warm undertone. I want a concealer that won’t cake up or clog my pores and can last all day. I really hope you can recommend me a concealer that is suitable for me. Thank you

  17. Thank you so much for this excellent review which is hugely helpful! 🙂 I want to try the Hynt concealer but don’t know which shade to buy. Which one do you wear? X
