DIY | Lavender, Rose and Green Tea Facial Steam

I love to do this facial steam every few weeks. I switch up the flowers and tea depending on how I am feeling! Facial steam is amazing at promoting circulation, shrinking pores, toning the skin and has many anti-aging benefits! It not only does wonders for your skin but it is extremely relaxing!

  • Lavender has amazing relaxing properties for the skin and mind.
  • Rose does wonders at toning the skin and has a beautiful scent
  • Green Tea is a powerful anti-oxidant and is great for your skin both internally and externally.

Directions:

  1. Boil 1-2 cups water and dried flowers and tea
  2. Pour the mixture into a large bowl
  3. Cover your head with a towel and sit comfortably leaning over the bowl for 20-30 mins.
  4. Be careful not to put your face too close to the bowl as it can get extremely hot!

This is a wonderful treat for your skin and your soul! You should feel really relaxed after doing this and your skin will feel lovely!

I like to save the mixture when I am done, strain it, put it in a bottle and use it as a toner!

xoxo,

Britanie

  1. This sounds amazing and I will be trying it. When I do a steam, I freeze the water in an ice cube tray. I don’t have to worry about it spoiling. Just take out a cube to melt while I shower and voila a fresh and refreshing toner when I get out.
