Does gluten in a mascara cause irritation? I’ve never really thought about any of those “food” allergies in mascara, especially since I always think that natural products don’t work so well. But that mascara definitely pops! And I love that lipstick color on you!

Good point. Coeliac disease or the inflammation caused by gluten actually occurs in small intestine so gluten-free imakeup is just a marketing hype. Plus, makeup doesn’t really contain ingredients with gluten much (wheat, barley, rye…). But it does look nice on the lashes.
Hey! I would have to disagree with you there. Having celiac disease and having an allergy and/or sensitivity towards gluten can be two separate things. I personally cannot tolerate eye creams that contain wheat products. My eyes get swollen. Many people are sensitive to gluten and everything we put on our skin and hair (including lashes) ends up in our bloodstream. It’s ideal for those with celiac to avoid makeup containing gluten.
if i use beauty/body products with gluten in them, i get a rash on my face.

When I first started looking for clean, I was left feeling disappointed with the selection. been excited to see these options grows as the green beauty community expand. As of late, my favorites are the 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Mascara, Kjaer Weis Mascara, and the W3LL PEOPLE Expressionist Bio Extreme Mascara.
