I am excited to share with you all one of my personal skincare recipes that I came up with on a whim while I was in the kitchen concocting different skincare treatments for myself. I love to try out and review many Skincare companies but what many don’t know is that behind the scenes I am constantly coming up with my own creations for myself and loved ones and am extremely passionate about starting with my own line in the near future.
This Rose Lavender Clay Face Mask & Scrub is one of my favorite creations. It’s wonderful because it doubles as both a mask and a scrub. This is the product that has inspired me to consider selling my own products on etsy at some point. I have wanted to start my own Skincare and Bodycare line for years now, which is what motivated me to start blogging in the first place. I have studied Herbalism and Holistic Health and have integrated it into my daily lifestyle for many years now and have seen the difference that living a cleaner lifestyle can make.
I figured what better way to get my own product creations out there then by doing a giveaway? I’d love to do more of these in the future depending on the feedback. Please let me know if you’d like me to do more giveaway’s of my own creations.
What You Will Win:
You will win a 2oz container (pictured above) of my handmade Organic Rose Lavender Clay Face Mask. I handmade the entire batch and used only the finest and organic ingredients. This mask consists of Organic Rose and Lavender Powder, Organic Rose Petals, Raw Organic Honey, Organic White Sugar, Organic Apricot Kernel Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Gel and French Green Clay. The only ingredient that is not certified organic is the French Green Clay.
Just a heads up:
I am going to be switching the Clay’s in my mask formula. The one I used was French Green Clay but I will be using a more gentle clay in the future batches as I have found the green clay can be a little too harsh for every day use and can dry the skin out if used more than a few times in a week.
How To Use:
To use as a purifying mask: Use 1-2 times per week as an intense facial mask. Dampen face with a little bit of water and apply one or two teaspoons of mixture on your face with either fingers or foundation brush. Leave on up to 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water and follow with serum or moisturizer.
To use as a scrub: Can be used daily for a gentle or intense facial scrub. Add one to two teaspoons of mixture in the palm of your hand. Moisten face with warm water and scrub your face with the mixture for two minutes. Focus on problem areas or dry patches. Scrub gently! The Organic Rose Petals and Sugar will serve as gentle exfoliants and will remove dead skin cells.
Who It’s For: This mask and scrub is perfect for all skin types, especially sensitive or acne prone. It also will be hydrating to those with dry skin like myself.
Storage: I make this mixture for myself every few months and keep it in a jar or plastic container and either leave it in the fridge or by my sink. This mixture will last at least a few months(if not more, depending on how much you use) if sealed properly.
How To Win:
