I mentioned briefly in one of my latest posts that I was recovering from a stint in the ER and during that time I wasn’t wearing any makeup or doing much posting. I am here today with a really quick and pretty makeup look that I hope you will all enjoy!
Even in my late twenties, I still have my guilty pleasure shows, one of those being Pretty Little Liars. While watching it recently I was inspired to do my makeup like the character Aria played by actress Lucy Hale. I am always awe-struck by her makeup in the show and love the dark brows, thick eyeliner and perfectly blossomed cheeks. This look was actually quite easy to achieve – it just takes a few stand out things like the eyebrows and liner to achieve an Aria inspired makeup look 🙂 I hope you enjoy this (even if you aren’t a PLL fan).
PRODUCTS USED:
Eyes: I started with a sheer wash of Alima Pure Eyeshadow in Vanilla all over the lid and then lined my upper lashline using 100% Pure Gel Eyeliner in Black Tea. I curled the heck out of my lashes, added two coats of Dr. Hauschka Volumizing Mascara and combed through the lashes in order for them to be lengthened as well as thickened. I also added a tiny bit of Ilia Beauty Polka Dots & Moonbeams to the inner corners of my eyes and brow bone for a pretty highlight.
Brows: The brows are the stand out part of this entire look. I have naturally full brows so I didn’t have to draw outside of them to create a stronger look but if you have thin brows, I recommend filling them in with a good eyebrow brush. I just focused on darkening my brows. I started with a lighter brow pencil from Sante in Blonde 01 from the inner part of my brows. From the middle to the ends I used a darker brow pencil from Sante in Brown 02. I also used NYX Eyebrow Wax Shaper to tame the brows and make sure they stayed put. The wax also helps for the brow pencil or powder to last a lot longer.
Cheeks: To achieve a really pretty and natural pink cheek I used Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Lovely on the apples of my cheeks.
Lips: I applied a light wash of Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Petunia and used my finger to blend in W3LL People Universalist Stick in #7, Creamy Peony.

Gorgeous! The brows remind me so much of Aria. I have stopped watching PLL because it has gotten too much for me. I really liked it in the first seasons, but I feel like they are dragging it out now. I hope you are feeling better!
The show is definitely too much so much of the time but I just can’t stop watching it… lol I love the fashion and makeup and that is enough to get me into the show. ah, I envy your brows, I have really sparse brows and it’s hard for me to achieve a bold eyebrow without it looking really unnatural. I also love that blush, it adds just enough pink to be obvious, without looking clownish. I’ve never watched PLL, I’m not big on much TV, but I love makeup looks inspired by TV and movies, because I can’t count how many times I have become completely distracted by someones makeup style while watching something and had to pause and do a youtube search to see if anyone has copied it!
Aww thank you. If your brows are super sparse you should try adding coconut oil to them at night. It can help them to grow. Also Castor Oil. I am so happy you like this look. Oh I get distracted so much by makeup and fashion on tv and in movies. It’s so fun to try and recreate looks 🙂 I always do the youtube search as well! haha xoxo
I’ve never watched PLL, but I LOVE this natural look on you. It’s very fresh. I of course always have to fill in my brows; I’m jealous of your dark, thick brows. They are beautiful!
I think you’d like the show, even though it’s incredibly corny at times, the fashion and makeup are sooo amazing you get really into it! I am so happy you like this look love! Even though my brows are naturally full, I always like to fill them in more and add some more color. I feel like it pulls an entire makeup look together. You have wonderful brows 🙂
I wish I had eyebrows as thick as yours. I’ve always admired how people with thick and beautiful eyebrows are able to pull off a no-makeup-look pretty well because the eyes don’t need much makeup.

That’s funny Britanie, I also pay more attention to the makeup and fashion in shows and movies than to what’s actually going on. After watching Selena Gomez’s music video for “Love You Like A Love Song,” I ended up youtubing how to do the makeup looks she sported.
Stunning! I watch PPL every now and again, I find a lot of the episodes to be dragged out. Why can’t they just figure out who A is already?
