With the Fall season being oh-so-close, I’m bringing out my #1 favorite color in the world: Purple! This beautiful range of purple hues seem to awaken my complexion. Take a look at the trio of beauty products I accidentally put together…I can’t believe how they work so complimentary. The funny thing is when I wear purple, I feel physically  better. I thought it was perhaps a coincidence, until I realized that the corresponding gemstones that aid the Crown Chakra include amethyst! Purple – The Crown Chakra connects one with the infinite consciousness. Opening this chakra will help tap into a deep spiritual understanding.

Essie Nail Polish – Big Spender

Ilia Beauty Lipstick – Neon Angel

Kjaer Weis Cream Blush – Lovely

I only have a small sample of the Kjaer Weis Cream Blush in Lovely that I ordered from Spirit Beauty Lounge so I didn’t feature it in the photo above but I do plan to purchase the full size version as I am so in love with it and I honestly can’t get enough of these three colors together.

Note: I have been receiving comments in regards to Essie not being cruelty-free. While 90%+ of the products I use are cruelty-free, I have never claimed to -only- use cruelty-free products, though that is my ultimate goal. I was under the impression that Essie was a CF brand and I do not plan to purchase any more products from the brand if this is the case. I found a very similar polish shade by Kure Bazaar here that would possibly work as a dupe for Big Spender.

  1. Love this look. Gorgeous, as always! Purple-leaning-pinks like these are some of my favorite colors too. If you’re ever looking for a gloss to add to this lineup, Silk Naturals’ Shrieking Violet is the most perfect purpley-pink shade 🙂

  2. Gorgeous! these really are lovely with your skin! I’m obsessed with purple hues of eye shadow. and the HAT!…! I’m hunting for one like this!

  3. You look gorgeous!!<3 Lipstick looks so good on you that i wanna try it 🙂 And i'm sooo jealous of your beautiful skin 🙂 It's too die for!:) xx

    1. You should definitely try the lipstick – it’s my favorite! you have nothing to be jealous of, you’re beautiful! thank you so much for your sweet compliment!!! ❤

  4. You are stunning! I love the colors! I’ve thought about buying ILIA’s Neon Angel and thought maybe it would look too bright for everyday lips but it definitely looks wearable from your photos. Have you tried Zoya nail polish before? One of the colors I have is in “Kate” and it reminds me of the Essie polish you’re wearing but a more mauve-rose color. I think it’d look nice on you too! They’re 5-free as well 🙂 love your blog!

  5. you look beautiful in purple! love that hat on you, too.

ok, i didn’t know that essie tested on animals. not cool. i do own essie polishes, but ya know what — they aren’t even the best quality. i prefer OPI (which does not test on animals … just googled) and zoya (also cruelty-free). guess that helps me narrow my nail polish collection!

also, none of us are perfect. i appreciate when people point things out and enlighten us, but it SHOULD NOT be to the point of shaming, etc. we all need to live within our means, within our own consciousness and have to take baby steps to achieve what we want to achieve. rant over.

    🙂

    1. Thank you babe! I didn’t know Essie tested on animals either and I really don’t like that and don’t want to support that but I already have polishes from them and I will wear them and then not repurchase again. I also think it’s great for people to point things out but sometimes people can come off a little harsh and I think we all need to remember that we are all trying to do our best and many of us are 80/20 in the natural beauty world and that is perfectly fine. One way isn’t right for all. I am glad I know about Essie now though so that I can find something else. I have to try Zoya. I keep hearing amazing things about them. Where do you buy your Zoya polishes from? Also I have heard that apparently OPI isn’t cruelty-free either but maybe they changed that? I hope so because I love them also.

  6. those colours work perfectly with your skin tone and look so gorgeous! I’m obsessed with Neon Angel and am planning to buy Lovely for my winter line-up of make-up products. Glad to hear you love it too 🙂 Also love your perfectly sculpted eyebrows – so 50’s!

    1. Thank you so much for commenting 🙂 I am so obsessed with Neon Angel and I am definitely picking up Lovely because it is so perfect for Fall/Winter. I have been really into sculpted and darker brows lately, so happy you like them 🙂

  7. Isn’t Neon Angel just a beautiful color!? it’s surprising that it actually looks good on a range of skin tones. And this look, oh this look, I love it. You really need to teach me how to apply make-up properly.

    1. Neon Angel is seriously stunning. I just love wearing it and just looking at it! It really does seem to compliment every skin tone. I can’t wait to try more of Ilia’s colors. I am so happy you like this look! I am going to start doing makeup tutorials soon 🙂

  8. I love checking out your blog and seeing your cool tips–and purple looks great on you. I’ve just recently gotten into the natural makeup scene, and I was interested to see that you use Essie nail polish. Do you think it’s important to use natural nail polish/do you believe in the hype around toxic nail polish? Thanks for your beautiful blog.

    1. Hi Jacqueline, Thank you so much for your comment and I am so happy that you like checking out my blog – it means a lot 🙂 There is actually a lot of different opinions when it comes to “natural” nail polish because apparently there is no such thing. This article here is a really great read which explains more: http://figandsage.blogspot.com/2011/09/soapbox-organic-natural-nail-polish.html with that said, I am a fan of Kure Bazaar and Priti NYC. I have also heard great things about Zoya which I plan to try next. Essie is 3-free but 5-free is ideal.

  9. Hello! I’ve been silently reading your blog for a while and thought I should finally leave a comment!

I love ILIA & these colours work gorgeously together! On the subject of nail polish, have you tried Scotch Naturals? (they are water-based & the most non-toxic of all the brands) They have a divine colour range & the packaging is pretty swish too 🙂

  10. great colors, they look good on you. (just one thing: I think you could look 100 times more clever just by closing your mouth. just my opinion.)

  11. Hi! This look is so lovely and transitional for any season, Where did you find that beautiful ring? I did not see it in the details provided, or maybe I missed it. Going to find a similar nail shade for sure. Pink on my lips is not the best depending on the hue, but this looks great on you!
