Part of the reason I love what I do is discovering organic and innovative skin care brands that were not on my radar before. Such is the case when Eve Stahl the founder of Garden of Eve contacted me. Eve’s formulas are  based on historical information of the many therapeutic plant properties and her experience working with them. She found that by going to nature for beauty care we can replenish the skin in a wholesome, non-toxic manner. She discovered how plants work synergistically. This is the essence of the magic that has become: Garden of Eve.

Eve was motivated to create her product line when her own health deteriorated due to toxic chemicals that were used to refurbish the office building where she was employed.

She experienced symptoms of chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, arthritis, diabetes and other chemical and food sensitivities plagued her.

She changed her life and studied at the Hippocrates Health Institute where she followed a raw food nutrition program. Which next  led  her to in-depth studies of herbalism, essential oils and aromatherapy. After implementing the knowledge gained from her studies she saw dramatic improvements in her health. What is applied to the skin enters the body and then travels via the circulatory system so scrutinizing ingredients became of the utmost importance. Unable to find “clean” products that met her standards, Eve decided to create her own product line. Here are the extraordinary products that Eve sent to me after I explained to her about my very sensitive skin issues. She mixed and matched and here are the descriptions of what I tested. She was even kind enough to send my Mom three products to help her with problematic episodes of Rosacea! We both are impressed with the formulas and most important the results. CITRUS AND SASS FOR HAND & BODY

Citrus & Sass for Hand and Body – is a deeply penetrating blend of plant oils selected for total hand and body moisturizing that will last all day. It is also an excellent sun repair cream; and great for dry itchy skin. The secret is in the synergistic blend of organic sesame, almond, coconut and Hawaiian kukui nut oils. This is by far one of the best hand and body lotions that I’ve tried. It’s now included in my top three favorites. It sinks right in, is very moisturizing and smells light and soft with the essential oils of Lavender, Bergamot and Lime.

EXPECTANTLY LOVELY FACIAL TONER

Expectantly Lovely Facial Toner- is a lovely balance of hydrating, soothing and nurturing plant hydrosols. Used as a companion to the Expectantly Lovely Face Cream the two products enhance the benefits of each other. The use of Facial Toner also helps the jar of face cream to last longer. Recommended under the pregnancy category, I can tell you that you don’t have to be “with child” to love this! Eve chose this for me because of my skin sensitivity and for good reason. It’s just organic and wild crafted hydrosols of Lavender and Neroli. My skin drinks this in!Try mixing with the Clearly Lovely Face Cream and it makes it last longer. So hydrating and smells divine.

CLEANSING NECTAR

A lotion form of cleanser that replenishes and conditions the skin. A blend of Organic Sunflower, Safflower and Apricot oils make this cleanser particularly soothing for sensitive and delicate skin. Its mild spicy scent is uplifting and refreshing. If you are looking for an ultra-rich cleanser you will love this. It cleans and rejuvenates at the same time without any harshness.

CLEARLY LOVELY FACE CREAM

Promotes balanced skin. For prone to acne and combination skin. Helpful for oily skin. Not drying.The extracts and essential oils of Rose geranium, Lavender, Sandalwood, and Rosewood selected for this face cream are gentle yet effective for balancing and regenerating healthy skin that is Clearly Lovely. AROMA FREE FACE CREAM-NO SCENT

Aroma Free Face Cream-No Scent is a luxurious moisturizer cream that contains a delicate blend of botanical extracts which minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles giving your skin a smooth radiant glow. It vanishes into your skin leaving a moisturized surface that allows your skin to breathe. I love when a brand has “Aroma Free” options. Sometimes no matter what skin type you have, you need a break from fragrance even when you only use the ones derived from essential oils. It’s good to let your skin breathe for periods of time. And you don’t want to build up a sensitivity to any component of an essential oil.

This trio is what Eve chose for my Mom’s problematic Rosacea.

Facial Cleansing Nectar (Same as Eve recommended for me!)

Calm Facial Toner – Formulated as an integral part of the Calm skin care system, organic and wild crafted hydrosols of Lavender, St. john’s wort and Chamomile are blended for their gentle cooling properties. Calm Face Cream – Blended exotic organic essential oils and extracts of Helichrysum, German Chamomile and Rosewood to help reduce redness associated with Rosacea and Acne Rosacea. My Mom’s Opinion:  She used these three products for a period of a month and saw a subtle improvement. Rosacea is a tough problem because it’s systematic. Along with diet changes (avoiding spicy foods) she feels that with continued use her redness will fade. She recommends that anyone with redness or skin sensitivity try this trio.
