GET THE LOOK | GLOWING BRONZE WITH A TOUCH OF VIOLET

Hello Beauties!

I am back with an all natural, organic makeup look! I really really love this simple look. I used a lot of new products that I recently ordered from Citrine Natural Beauty. New products used include the Tata Harper Glow+Contour set, new shadow sticks from Ilia Beauty + more. See more below!

HOW TO GET THIS LOOK…

PREP + PRIME:

To moisturize my skin I used one pump of the Osmia Organics Purely Simple Face Cream with two drops of the Kypris Antioxidant Dew. Once that set in, to prime my skin I used one of my old favorites; the Vapour Beauty Stratus Instant Skin Perfector which not only helps makeup last longer but it also (for me at-least) makes it so that I do not need as much coverage as it somehow evens out the look of the skin and it adds such a beautiful glow. I love the stick formulation but the liquid is wonderful too.

CONCEAL + CORRECT:

For an all over coverage I used my absolute favorite: the Jane Iredale GlowTime BB Cream in “BB3”. You can apply the BB Cream with a brush, sponge or fingers. I tend to change it up depending on my mood, for this look I used my fingers to blend it out evenly. To conceal my under eyes I used the Vapour Beauty Illusionist Concealer in “10”. I then set everything (including my under eyes) with the Jane Iredale PurePressed Powder Foundation in “Ivory” (this takes away any unwanted shine while also giving some extra coverage!). To set everything in place I spritzed my face with the Jane Iredale POMMISST Hydration Spray.

BRONZE + CONTOUR:

I have to be very careful with bronzers as I am incredibly fair. I am excited to say that the new Tata Harper Very Bronzing is absolutely amazing for all skin tones. I only need the tiniest amount to contour my cheeks, nose, forehead, neck (and anywhere else desired). It also works as an all-over bronzer when blended in with fingers, brush or tool of choice. It doesn’t leave over any type of glitter or sparkle. It’s perfect!!

HIGHLIGHT + BLUSH:

I applied a decent amount of the Tata Harper Very Illuminating Highlighter using my fingertips to warm the cream highlighter onto the highest points of my cheeks, down the bridge of my nose as well as the inner corner of my eyes. This highlighter is amazing and one of my new favorites. (I prefer it over the RMS!!!). I then went in with my current favorite blush: Antonym Cosmetics Peach Baked Blush which I applied to the apples of my cheeks as well as my eyelids (this is a trick to really blend all of the colors together!).

EYES:

To prime my lids I always use whatever concealer I am using on my under eyes so for this look it was the Illusionist Concealer. I then went in with the Ilia Beauty Age Of Consent Eyeshadow Stick which is a “versatile ash brown”. I applied this to my lashline and blended it up into my crease. I then took the Ilia Beauty And She Was Eyeshadow Stick and applied that to my inner corners, underneath my brow-bone and a little bit right in the middle of my eyelid to add some highlight.

For my top lashline I first went in with the Ilia Beauty Havana Affair Eyeliner and winged it out just the tiniest bit. For the lower lashline I really wanted a pop of color but nothing that was “too” dramatic. I decided to go with the Ilia My Generation Eyeliner which is a beautiful violet color and is described as “a hybrid of muted violet hues blended with the deep tones of merlot.” To finish this look I applied two coats of the newest Liquid Lash Curler from Per-Fekt Beauty. It is just as good as the original but adds more volume!

LIPS:

I really wanted to have a nude looking lip but add some bronze to it to really warm it up on my pale skin. I paired the Ilia Beauty Come Undone and Iko Iko Lip Pencils together to create this lip color and I love it!

  1. What is the longevity of this makeup? It would be awesome to see how your makeup looks at the end of the day for a comparison.

    1. Which products in particular are you curious about lasting power of? I can tell you that the JL BB Cream Lasts all day for me! It’s waterproof. The only thing that doesn’t last all day are the lip products but I don’t mind reapplying them 🙂

  2. gorgeous look! have you ever used a grey/mauve-ish (chanel notorious dupe) contour because your skin is so light? i find bronzer contouring not natural looking enough

    1. Hey! Thank you. I haven’t been able to find a greyish tone that is talc free. Do you have any recommendations?? I did get the Kjaer weis abundance blush which is mauve and beautiful and works great. I plan to play around with that alittle more! It can be tough with such fair skin

  3. Beautifully breathtaking look as always! I have one question for you. Jane Iredale is by far one of my favorite companies. I have really been wanting to try the BB3 cream but I was worried it may make my freckles look ashy. I believe we have similar skin tones. I currently use the w3ll people foundation in #1 (fair pink). How do you like the BB cream in comparison? I don’t mind my freckles but sometimes I can look a little muddy because the freckles are so thick on my cheeks (especially in the summer from enjoying the warm sun). What are your thoughts?

  4. Wow, amazing look as always! Have you ever used the W3ll illuminator to compare to the Tata version? I am getting their new concealer and am thinking of adding the illuminator to my basket, but now I am tempted by this one too 🙂

I also have a very important question about blush. What exactly do you mean by applying it to your eyes as well as the apples of your cheeks? Are you doing this pre-priming with the concealer, or am I totally confused?

  5. It would great to watch how you do your makeup in a tutorial. So lovely! I just ordered samples of the Jane Iredale Glow Time BB cream, can’t wait to try it!
