I have been wanting to do a regular “What’s In My Makeup Bag” post for awhile now and was recently inspired after purchasing my new One Love Organics “Love” Makeup Bag. It is so cute and chic and I couldn’t wait to put some of my recent must-have products inside and then spill it all out for all of you to see!! Am I the only one who LOVES seeing what other people carry in their purse/makeup bags? I find it so much fun to be nosey and see what others are carrying with them. It says a lot about how much they use and love a product!
Without further ado… here is what I have been carrying around in my One Love Organics Makeup Bag:
Foundation/Concealer:
Lately I have been carrying my Kjaer Weis Cream Foundation in “Like Porcelain” along with my KW Foundation Brush. It’s so easy to apply on the go and is also so much fun to use for touch-ups because of the built in mirror and, well, c’mon… look at that packaging!! I also carry my Alima Pure Concealer in “Beige” in case I need extra coverage or to set my KW foundation throughout the day. It’s a wonderful mineral concealer and not only covers blemishes or redness, but also does an amazing job at getting rid of my dark circles!
Highlighter:
I carry a very small sample of the Alima Pure Luminious Shimmer Powder in “Lumina” with me because it’s really easy to just throw in my bag and even though I have the full size version, the littlest bit goes a long way and I haven’t even used up my entire sample yet! I love to add this on my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and even as an eyeshadow. Another beautiful highlighter is the Ilia Beauty Polkadots & Moonbeams. I like to use this underneath Lumina or on it’s own. It’s another beautiful multi-purpose highlighting product that’s easy to pop in my makeup bag.
Eyes/Brows:
I don’t usually carry eyeshadow with me unless it’s a cream shadow or single shadow as I find palette’s too big most of the time and also I don’t wear eyeshadow on a daily basis. I do, however, like to keep a small sample size (again with the sample sizes, they are just so convenient!) of the RMS Beauty Eye Polish in “Seduce” because it’s perfect for applying all over my eyes as an eyeshadow or using as an eyeliner. I also love this product for contouring. It’s my favorite cream shadow from RMS Beauty because it’s so versatile. I even use it on my brows sometimes.🙂 My favorite mascara at the moment (I specify ‘at the moment’ because I have a serious mascara addiction) is the Per-Fekt Lash Perfection Gel from Citrine Beauty Natural Beauty Bar (full review on this coming soon).
Lips: I always carry too many lip products with me. I just can’t help it. I have to keep a lip balm with me at all times otherwise I feel like lipstick would be pointless because it never looks right on me unless I moisturize my lips with balm first. I like to keep one regular balm and a few tinted ones with me at all times. The CV Skinlabs Restorative Balm is a multi-purpose makeup bag essential because it not only works for giving your lips incredible moisture + shine but it can also be used anywhere on the body… nails, hands, dry spots, to set eyebrows in place, etc. I also keep the Hurraw Black Cherry Lip Balm and Tata Harper Be Adored Lip Treatment for moisture and light flush of color.
I change my lipsticks around depending on the day, week, event, season, etc… but lately I have been keeping my Ilia Beauty Jump Tinted Lip Conditioner and Blossom Lady Tinted Lip Conditioner with me because they are so moisturizing and pair beautifully together. I also really love my Ilia Beauty Back To Life Lipgloss, it is so pretty on it’s own and it also looks gorgeous over-top of Blossom Lady and/or Jump!
Others: I almost always carry a perfume with me and lately I can’t get enough of the Lotus Wei Infinite Love Perfume. I spritz this on my hairbrush and brush throughout my hair to make the scent last all day. I also apply on my pulse points. This scent lifts my spirits instantly. Speaking of uplifting: I cannot be without essential oils in some form. Hope Gillerman Stress Remedy and Zoe Organics Refresh Oil are frequent carry-ons for me as they help to relieve my anxiety, occasional nausea, upset/nervous stomach and stress. I also always keep crystals with me… my purse, makeup bag, everywhere, really. In this bag I have Amethyst, Lepidolite, Black Tourmaline, Citrine, and Clear Quartz. And of course, no makeup bag would be complete without a good hand sanitizer. The Clean Well Sanitizer Spray is my favorite by far. I love the spray but also use the wipes.

I love posts like this! Very nice. I also carry the Hurraw Black Cherry lip balm – perfect for an easy tint of color. And I just ordered a few items from Lotus Wei, including one of the Infinite Love products and cannot wait to get them! I love the stress remedy suggestions – I’m always in need of those items, as well, since I too deal with anxiety/stress and occasional depression.

I was just about to buy some more healing crystals, and you inspired me to buy a piece of black tourmaline! I buy my stones off of Etsy. The two sellers that I like are TheSageGoddess and ilovelotus. Where do you buy your healing stones? Do you buy them at a shop in your area, or online? That stress remedy oil looks amazing too. I’m pretty much in love with your makeup bag. 🙂

And totally agree about the samples–I have a sample of Kjaer Weiss eyeshadow from Spirit Beauty Lounge that’s lasted ages and is so easy to travel with (although I bought the compact and it’s pretty small too haha).

I am mega nosey! I’ve just recently bought some heavenly Kjaer Weis items – how do they cope in your makeup bag? Do they get scuffed or damage other items?
I have Hurraw in liquorice, RMS lip2cheek in smile and Ilia lip glosses – Butterfly and I mainly at the moment.
Have you tried the magnesium powder “natural calm”? You can mix it in water and it’s supposed to be an “anti stress drink”. Many people are deficient and a side effect has been said to be anxiety. I use that when I’m reeeeally stressed and started supplementing with liquid minerals and it has made a huge difference for me!! I still get stressed, but the physical symptoms associated with that have been significantly less. Both you can find at whole foods. Oh and I love your blog!!
Hey! I have tried Magnesium Powder. I have the Natural Calm. I take it from time to time. It is very helpful. I personally prefer taking Magnesium capsules. I am not sure why, but they seem to work better for me. I am a huge believer in adding magnesium into your supplementation routine as most of us are severely deficient in it. I definitely feel a difference when I add more magnesium into my daily diet. I will have to try the liquid minerals next. Thank you for this information!!! and thank you so much for your comments xx
You are so well organized! I’m lucky if I leave the house with the right lipstick and mascara floating around in the bottom of my purse. That lip conditioner looks to die for. I am a self-admitted lip balm addict!

Thank you for your comment. As far as organization is concerned — it’s not easy for me. I have to really get into the “organized mode” and just do it. Sometimes I am not so organized but I always feel so much better when I de-clutter everything, especially my purses and makeup bags. It makes me feel so much cleaner and happier 🙂 I am a lip balm addict too, can never have too much lip balm!
