What’s in my travel beauty bag?

I’m visiting my boyfriend on Long Island for the week, and because I have never done a post like this on my blog before, that I would show what beauty products I brought along with me!!

I used to travel with double the makeup and skincare products but in the past year after switching over to completely natural and non-toxic makeup and skincare, I find that I don’t need quite as many products. My skincare regime takes a lot less time now because of the many multi-purpose items that I include. Also since switching over to cleaner products I don’t find myself needing makeup as much. I like to have it in case I am going out with friends or going to be taking photos and for that I like to glam it up a bit!

Skincare:

You will see a common theme here… Osmia Organics. I am a tad bit obsessed with Osmia, I have to say. I have some samples that Sarah sent me and they have lasted me so long and are so perfect for traveling!!! I brought the Aspen Walnut Scrub for nights when I might have been wearing a lot of makeup to give my face an added exfoliation! Of course brought along the Active-Gel Nutrient Serum and Purely Simple Face Cream (just did a review on this cream here) which I use every single night and I could not ever be without my Honey-Myrrh Lip Repair which literally transforms my lips overnight. The Spot Treatment is good to bring when traveling just in case I happen to have a breakout and need something to get rid of it as soon as possible! I recently started using Dr. Bronner’s Liquid Rose Castile Soap and I love it so much. I am not sure I can go back to using other soaps! It just works so well and is really easy to travel with and super affordable. I like to use the DeVita Moroccan Rose Face Toner to spritz my face before and after applying makeup. It helps to set makeup and gives a beautiful glow to my face! I am currently trying out this hair powder from Lulu Organics. It’s great for travel and for days when you don’t want to wash your hair! It helps to clean your hair but also adds a lot of volume as well without leaving any powder residue!

*I forgot to picture my deodorant, shampoo and conditioner- I brought a Lavender deodorant by Tom’s Of Maine that I am trying out right now! And for my hair, I am currently using Avalon Organics Lavender Shampoo and Conditioner.

Makeup:

I am currently trying out the 100% Pure Black Tea Gel Eyeliner, Zuzu Luxe Eyeliner Pencil, Gabriel Cosmetics Lipstick in the color “Pomegranate”, Vapour Organic Beauty Elixir Plumping Lip Gloss in “Beguile” and Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Creme Concealer in “Light”. So far i’m really loving all of them and so I decided to bring them with me on my travels! I always bring one type of foundation or powder with me and my go-to foundation of choice lately is Honeybee Gardens Pressed Powder Mineral Foundation. It’s so easy to carry in your purse or travel bag. Because it’s pressed it’s easier to apply than most loose mineral powders that I am used to. This doesn’t get all over the place and it applies seamlessly on my face. I love the coverage and I find it lasts me throughout the entire day. For my cheeks I brought two Vapour Organic Beauty Aura Multi-Use Blush in the colors “Tender” (light peachy pink) which I mainly use a highlighter for my cheekbones, brow bone and down the bridge of my nose and “Courtesan” (classic rose) as a beautiful blush for my cheeks and also sometimes I use it as a lip color! Speaking of lip color I brought along my Osmia Organics Lip Luster because it wears well on it’s own and gives a beautiful sheer rose tint to my lips without being too sticky and also it layers perfectly with other lip products!

*I also brought along an eyeshadow palette from TheBalm for nights when I want to have more color!!

What are your must-have beauty items when traveling?

xoxo,

Britanie

  1. I have the Tom’s of Maine lavender deodorant. It smells amazing and it works well; but I definitely have to re-apply after 8-12 hours. It works but not as well as “chemical” deodorants.

Also, for the first couple of weeks, it made my underarms itchy–dried out maybe? But after that my skin adjusted and I’ve had no problems since. So don’t give up too soon. It’s so much better than the chemical crap! xo

    1. I am actually really impressed with the Tom’s of maine deodorant! It lasts on me all day but I as well have to apply it usually after 8-12 hours which isn’t bad for a natural deodorant!! I am really loving it.

The last deodorant I tried from soapwalla gave me a rash but I am thinking of trying it out again.

  2. How do you like the 100% Gel Eyeliner? I’ve been eyeing their makeup for a while but not sure about the quality.
