Face Of The Day | Light Bronze Smokey Eye + Red Lips

vxv

I love doing dramatic looks once and awhile especially to showcase how you can still achieve really pigmented looks using only natural and organic makeup products!

I didn’t need to use many products to achieve this glamorous look. All of the colors used on my eyes are from one eyeshadow palette. I love the combination of brown shadows and red lips. I feel like this look would be appropriate for day or night!

I started out with a BB Cream to give my skin a flawless and glowing finish and added a little bit of a coral/pink blush on my cheeks. For my eyes I primed them using an eyeshadow primer so that my shadows would last longer and appear more pigmented. I applied a light brown eyeshadow color to my crease and blended it with a darker brown color to add more definition and depth to the outer crease. I then applied a golden bronze color on my lid, a matte white color to my brow bone and applied the tiniest bit of a shimmery white color to the inner corners of my eyes. For the last finishes I applied black eyeliner, two coats of mascara and my absolute favorite red lipstick!

    1. Thank you!! Yes I have definitely raved about this lipstick many times. It’s my favorite. It’s just SO pigmented and lasts so long and is very flattering for many skin tones!! I am so happy you like the look 🙂

    1. haha oh I hear you, I add so many products to my wishlist due to beauty blogs!!! the list is never ending! This lipstick is a must though. Seriously.

  1. You look gorgeous Britanie! I am not someone who can rock a red lip, so my hats off to you:) I have not tried any Gabriel or Benecos products, but you have me interested now.

    1. Thank you so much. I believe anyone can rock a red lip!!! I think it depends on the color you use and the rest of the makeup you are wearing. I love both Gabriel and Benecos – they are wonderful brands!

  2. Wow, you’re beautiful! This has to be one of the prettiest makeups done with natural cosmetics.. and I’m actually a bit envious because I have pretty thin lips and often feel uneasy about wearing red lipstick. And due to my olive-toned skin, a cool red like you wear in this post is out of question for me though I love the colour so much. It just doesn’t love me back. 😉

  3. You nailed it, I would totally wear this look! 🙂
-though I’m not sure the lipstick would suit my skin color…

I agree with the others, you look stunning 🙂
Has anyone ever told you, that you look like Lana Del Ray?
