NYC facialist Jillian Wright, and co-founder of Indie Beauty Expo will unveil the Indie Beauty Expo in Manhattan on August 27th. This is the first event of it’s kind to get Indie Brands together under one roof in a major way! Jillian realized this was important for not only her natural skin care line, Jillian Wright Clinical Skin Spa,  but for all the other “rock star” brands that are run by people who have devoted their lives and careers to natural beauty. Jillian describes an “indie brand” as “those founder driven beauty companies that are clean, embody integrity, passion and spirit. The products “tell a story” and reflect product purity, efficacy and artisanship.”

Well + Good, is having a big presence at the event with a 6:00 p.m. discussion on the Natural Beauty Explosion with amazing panelists like, Tata Harper and Adina Grigore of S.W.Basics. Well + Good co-founder and natural beauty guru Melisse Gelula will moderate the discussion about myths and facts, beauty tips and how-tos. I can’t wait for this!!

To encourage Indie Beauty shopping (do we really need extra encouragement !?), all the beauty brands will be sold at 25 percent off regular retail. And your ticket ($59.00 General Admission) or ($104.00 for VIP perks) comes with “an amazing gift bag that probably is valued at least double the ticket price,” says Jillian Wright. Also, LuliTonix and health food will be sold at the event, so make a night of it with your friends or go by yourself and meet new green beauty kindred spirits! We are all going to be there to support each other.
