Brand Focus: Farm To Girl

I’d like to introduce you to a new company that debuted last summer. I’m so happy to bring you this review. I recently discovered Farm to Girl by perusing on The Environmental Working Group (EWG) site. (Yes, I do that because I love finding companies that are inventing products with the cleanest standards!).

The Environmental Working Group rated Farm to Girl lotions, baby care and anti-aging face creams as #1 safest on the market! Their products received their coveted “Zero” ranking, which is the greenest, safest and cleanest product rating. These products are made up fresh per order and are very affordable. I’m pretty sure they will become staples in many women’s beauty regimens.

“What makes Farm to Girl different? Fresh, Fair, and Free” as Kim the owner likes to say! I could not have said it better~

          When I looked at the site, I was immediately impressed with the Farm to Girl story:

Like  a wildflower, Farm to Girl began with a particularly  stubborn seed—our founder Dr. Kim Warren-Rhodes—refusing to believe that natural beauty requires anything more  than a handful of pure, simple ingredients, a burst of sunshine, and a sprinkle of water and love. For many years, Kim was never worried  about what was in her beauty products or how they affected her health. It wasn’t until her Ph.D. studies at Stanford that she learned about the  pervasiveness of man-made chemicals in our food and body care, and their negative  impact on human health and the planet. She also learned that a simpler world of  sustainable choices  exists and that truly green companies can do both good business and do good.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So needless to say, my interest was increasing by the moment. Then I read on to find that they give 20% of their profit to  women’s health and education! I love when I can help to support a company that so freely gives back to causes important to my own heart.
When I contacted Kim and told her I was so impressed with her zero rating with EWG that I  would love to try her products, she happily complied! I was curious if a zero rating lotion could really be “that good”. I’m happy to report it IS. I also explained to her about my extremely sensitive skin. She was so helpful in recommending the products below…
Organic Baby Bliss—Unscented
Made with Organic, Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil Hand-pressed by Women Villagers in Solomon Island
Description: Throughout the world, mothers moisturize and protect their baby and children’s skin with natural plant oils and herbs. And we do, too. At Farm to Girl, we developed this unscented organic everyday baby and kid’s lotion, made with no petrochemicals, phthalates, parabens or other synthetic chemicals, for one of our sister’s toddlers, and she’s used it ever since. With no added dyes, perfumes or fragrances, this creamy lotion has a natural hint of freshly-cracked Pacific Island coconut.
Ingredients: Filtered water, organic virgin coconut oil, organic sweet almond oil and Randy Oliver’s California Happy Bee beeswax.
Price: $8.95
My Thoughts: This is not just for babies and kids! I have already used up my sample of this wonderful cream. It quickly became my favorite hand cream because it sinks in beautifully without leaving a greasy residue. It’s also wonderful for using on any dry patches.
Manuka Honey Healing Lip Balm
Made with Organic, Pacific Coconut Oil  Hand-pressed by Women Villagers in Solomon Islands
Ingredients:  Organic virgin coconut oil, New Zealand Manuka honey, and Randy Oliver’s California Happy Bee beeswax.
Description:  Indigenous Maori tribes of New Zealand have long-valued the native Manuka bush for its honey and traditional medicine. We respect and use that knowledge to create an  ultra-healing lip balm from organic virgin coconut oil and active New Zealand Manuka Honey. Manuka Honey’s anti-bacterial  (UMF 5-15+) and anti-inflammatory properties heal naturally and powerfully, and we often apply this tasty and soothing treat as a remedy for cold sores and chapped or sun-burned lips.
Price: $6.95
My Thoughts: Oh this lip balm has stolen my heart! It has the most wonderful consistency of any lip balm I’ve tried. It’s like reaching into caramel without the stickiness. And the light honey scent is so appealing to me.
In my opinion this is a  wonderful new brand you should try. It really is a  special company doing incredible things with the cleanest ingredients. I’m going to have to agree with Kim that, “Farm to Girl is officially the “Cleanest & Greenest Skin Care on the Planet!”
Kim has graciously offered a 10% off discount code as well as a free raw coconut lip balm with every purchase you make! Just mention beautybybritanie.com when you check out!
Don’t forget to let me know how you like the line after you’ve tried it!
xoxo,
Britanie
  1. Hi Britanie thanks for introducing me to this product, unfortunately the coupon didn’t work when I tried to checkout, and it won’t give me a shipping quote to deliver to Canada. 😦 So maybe i’ll try to see in the future if they have their website fixed.
  2. Hi Sheila! It’s Kim the CEO of Farm to Girl– We would love to get products to you as soon as possible! We are happy to call or email you to place the order at the email Britanie mentioned above. Apologies for any inconvenience caused-we are working to add shipping to Canada as soon as possible! Be assured we are still honoring the 10% discount (we’ll credit it to your account following purchase) and a free lip balm for any of Beauty by Britanie’s readers (Please just email us to let us know how you found our site so we can apply the discount and goodies)! Best, Kim
  3. I just love everything!! Thank you for reccomending Farm to Girl. My hands have been all flakey for a while since its dry here in the winter and I massaged the Shea Butter into the dry parts and they’ve been perfectly soft ever since! And that was only one application. I can’t believe the lip balm has only 3 ingredients. I have been waking up with cracked lips even after slathering natural lip balm on and last night was the first night that hasn’t happened in a few weeks and its because I used the First Flower balm instead of my other natural one. And instead of a free lip balm, she sent me a full size moisturizer!
  4. hi!,I like your writing very a lot! proportion we communicate
