I was recently contacted by Andalou Naturals and asked to partner with them to help spread the word about their incredible company and to celebrate Non-GMO Awareness Month for October 2014! Andalou Naturals was the first 100% Non-GMO Project Verified beauty brand and that is something to be VERY proud of indeed. They are also the premier manufacturer of innovative fruit stem cell-based skin, body, and hair care. I am so excited to share my thoughts about the products I was sent and also to let you know of the generosity of this very special Brand. Andalou Naturals has offered 25% off your entire order (for BeautybyBritanie readers!!) during the whole month of October with this special promotion code at checkout: nongmo14.
With this campaign they specifically want to educate the public to the importance of accurate ingredient labeling. When we as consumers think of GMOs, food is often what comes to mind. Andalou Naturals want to point out that crops grown for personal care products and food are from the same farm and whether topically applied and absorbed through the skin or ingested directly as food, GMO crop effects on human health and the environment are of great concern! They put tremendous value on knowing where their ingredients come from. From the farmers who grow them, and connecting the human chain of hands that make every step possible for labeling transparency.
Look at these credentials! Andalou Naturals is: Certified Organic, Natural Origin, Vegetarian + Vegan, Gluten Free, Cruelty Free, Bioactive, Fair-Trade and has Eco-Friendly Practices. Yes, and I do think this is a very admirable company (if you can’t tell!).
For their skincare selection they have the following: Age Defying, Brightening, Clarifying and I chose (of course) the Sensitive line. My experience so far has been fantastic in every way. What I also love about this company is their dedication to social responsibility. Take a look at what they consider is their “reason for being”: “Inspired Beauty + True Kindness + Mindful Action”
‘Andalou Naturals embodies beauty in action. We infuse the best of nature and knowledge into mindful and effective products that are good for people and the planet. We value knowing where our ingredients come from, the farmers who grow them, and connecting the human chain of hands that make every step possible from farm to bottle, soil to skin, and botany to beauty.
Our skincare, hair care and body care products are made thoughtfully and beautifully, blending advanced Fruit Stem Cell Science with natural and fair-trade ingredients, with a minimum 70% certified organic content, for visible and healthy results.
At Andalou, we champion social responsibility and giving-back by establishing A Force of Nature as a philanthropic asset of the company, supporting sustainable trade, eco-conservation and collective relationships, while bestowing a true and meaningful reason to succeed.
The meaning of Andalou is ‘Path of Light’, and we believe it best reflects our intention to foster good things in the world and enrich the lives we touch, one responsible product at a time.’
Here are some of my thoughts from my favorites that I tried from the line!!
A sensory experience in a bottle. This is a silky, lightweight beauty oil, with Alpine Rose Stem Cells, that delivers intense hydration, deep cellular support to soothe, nourish, and transform sensitive skin. Pomegranate oil, rich in tannins and polyphenols, tones and tightens as Argan oil protects skin’s hydro lipid barrier for a naturally flawless complexion.
My thoughts: I love this beautiful Moroccan Rose light fragrant oil. It’s perfect and my skin loved it!
Also known as “flower power for beautiful skin”, this potent elixir, with Alpine Rose Stem Cells, delivers deep cellular support to soothe, nourish, and transform sensitive skin. Pomegranate tones and tightens as moisture binding humectants revive skin’s hydro lipid barrier for a naturally flawless complexion.
My thoughts: I use this at night after cleansing for a deep moisturizing treat. In the a.m. I swear my skin feels softer!
1000 Roses Floral Toner~Sensitive
This aromatic rosewater mist, with Alpine Rose Stem Cells, instantly refreshes and revitalizes skin’s delicate pH balance. Pomegranate, rich in tannins and polyphenols, tones and tightens as moisture-binding humectants, hyaluronic acid, and aloe vera revive skin’s hydro lipid barrier for a naturally flawless complexion.
My Thoughts: This smells absolutely divine and I spray it on my face all throughout the day!!!
1000 Roses RoseWater Mask~Sensitive
This revitalizing mask, with Alpine Rose Stem Cells, delivers deep hydration and cellular support to soothe, nourish, and transform sensitive skin. Pomegranate tones and tightens as hyaluronic acid and aloe vera revive skin’s moisture barrier for a naturally flawless complexion.
My Thoughts: Soft pudding like consistency for a moisturizing boost that will leave your skin feeling pampered, hydrated and glowing!!!
My skin has really enjoyed testing the 1000 Roses Sensitive line. The result has been a softer and more deeply moisturized complexion. With all the beauty products I test out every month, I have the most reactive complexion ever! This line has been a perfect fit for me. Not to mention I adore anything rose scented and this line is full of beautifying ingredients.
Some of the Bioactive special ingredients are:
- Alpine Rose Stem Cells function to increase cell vitality, boost epidermal regeneration and improve the skin barrier function.
- The 1000 Rose Complex includes rosewater and rose essential oils that evoke sensual + euphoric enhancing qualities. Yes they really do.
- Skin Soothing Complex provides a protective barrier with sensitivity pathway blockers to alleviate inflammation and inhibit skin reactivity. This is accomplished by including the ingredients of: Hyaluronic Acid, Magnolia Bark, Boswellin and Date Leaf Extracts. I think this may be a big reason my skin had no problems at all while testing. I had only the benefits from the science behind this incredible brand without any irritation at all. This is skin care with Fruit Stem Cell Science that renews skin at the cellular level. The have been successful in blending nature and knowledge for visible results.
I especially love that this brand is available everywhere! My local health food store carries this line. You can also shop directly at andalou.com

I just saw the Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses display over at Whole Foods today– glad to read your review and get a breakdown of the products in the line! Thanks 🙂
Definitely interested in trying the serum and rosewater mask. Thanks for sharing and Happy Non-GMO Awareness Month!
I bought their trial set of this line to try out, and I really love it. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and I love the smell of roses. I really like the night cream from this line too. The only thing I don’t enjoy is the jar packaging. I wish everything was in tubes or bottles.
Andalou sonds to be a very interesting beauty brand. Especially that they are vegan, organic _and_ non-gmo is worthy of support. Thanks for sharing!
I love the serum and when I use some other I will definitely repurchase! And I also really wanna try the oil, I think my skin would love it! 🙂 xx
I have the 1000 Roses Sensitive Beauty Oil, I really like it. I use 2 or 3 drops in my am moisturizer and my pm moisturizer. I bought it at Sprouts/Sunflower organic market.
I received my sample kit last night. OMG. I LOVE it!!! And was researching their beauty oil this morning and was himming and hawwing about buying it…but after your review, I think I will have to! The foaming cleanser is already on the way, but I LOVED the mask and night lotion last night, and the toner and day lotion this morning. You weren’t kidding. Amazing products. It’s been a year since you wrote this entry; do you still use any of their products? Thoughts?
