DIY | Softening + Conditioning Hair Treatment

I love making my own hair treatments and today I really wanted to make something that would add some extra softness and deep conditioning to my hair. I used all Now Solutions products for this!!

These ingredients are so nurturing, affordable, and perfect for keeping on hand for so many skin + hair care recipes. Argan Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Coconut Oil and my favorite essential oil of all: Lavender!

What to do:

Mix 2 tbs softened Coconut oil, 1tsp Argan, 1tsp Grapeseed with a few drops of the Lavender Essential Oil. Thoroughly mix and apply through clean dry hair. I wrap my hair up in a lightweight microfiber hair turban and leave this mixture on for at least 30 min. Wash hair with natural shampoo. (I don’t need a conditioner after this moisturizing treatment). You can do this treatment up to a few times a week to keep your hair feeling conditioned and soft.

This treatment is SO simple and yet SO nurturing for the hair. My hair felt silky smooth after using this. I hope you enjoy!

  1. NOW is a great brand. Thanks for sharing your ideas here, sounds like this would work for anyone with very dry, damaged hair.

  2. I recently started using egg whites mixed with olive oil to apply to my wet hair before shampooing. Leave it on for 20-30 mins and my hair becomes as soft and shiny as ever. It’s supposed to make the hair stronger and encourage hair growth due to all the protein found in eggs. I just stumbled upon your blog, and am loving it!
