Organic Makeup Look: Holiday Rapture

Hello Green Beauties!

Today I’m sharing a really simple and classic look that is perfect for the Holidays!

I can’t believe it took me this long to discover the gorgeousness that is RMS Beauty’s “Rapture” Lip2Cheek. I’ve tried many other of the Lip2Cheek’s but recently received a sample of this color and decided to bring it out and I must say, I fell in love! It is the PERFECT red. Not too bright, not too dark. I would imagine this color would compliment anyone!

The rest of the look is very classic. I only used two eye shadows, one a light warm beige all over the lid and the other a darker cocoa brown to add depth to the eye. Liner and lashes are a big part of this look as they add a sexy and pin-up vibe to this look.

I used a black eyeliner pencil and lined the upper eyelid only. For the lower lash line I swept the same darker brown color that I used in my outer crease along the lower lash line. This is great for those who want to achieve a more “wide awake” look as black liner can tend to close the eyes if applied to the lower lashes.

I also used many (three!) coats of mascara on the upper and lower lashes. The red in the lip color is not too overwhelming and would be perfect for a Holiday look or an every day look 🙂

  1. I really like the RMS bronzer on you, looks super natural. Oh, and I was wondering, how does the Zuzu pencil liner hold up to its liquid counterpart (in terms of longevity)?

  2. Lol I literally gasped when I saw the two pictures side by side, very beautiful and your skin looks so even and flawless.I also love Rapture! I finished a pot of it (that’s saying something right?!) it was my first red ever and I love it. It’s like a brick red to me, I like that you’ve applied it really sheer here. Just proves that color Rapture works on almost every skin tone!

  3. You are so pretty!! I love this look…totally just ordered Rapture. I have always been too wary of anything red for fear it would be too intense, but this one looks just perfect, and you gave good instructions on how to use it. 🙂

    1. Yay! I am SO happy you ordered Rapture! It’s such a stunning color. It’s definitely not too intense, though you could build it up to be so! I love it. So happy you love this look 🙂 thank you so much

    1. No but I want them! I also really wanted Diabolique… but it’s limited edition and I get annoyed with limited edition products because then when they are featured and someone wants to purchase them if it’s too late you can’t! I find that incredibly frustrating. I have heard great things about Demure and Beloved though. I am especially interested in Demure because I don’t any pink shades like that!

  4. I am loving this look and am now purchasing Rapture for my holiday look! You continue to inspire me (and my shopping habits…) 🙂 Thank you for this post.

  5. Hey, I just wanted to know your thoughts on dimethicone, as I understand you like to avoid as many synthetics as possible.

  6. Brittany, I loved this look! Your skin is so out of this world clear and glowing! I have pretty bad skin although I eat fairly healthy (all organic, with vegetables and no red meat) and use natural skincare products. What do you recommend? I have had blackheads (all over t-zone area) and acne for years and am desperate to find a solution! 🙂 Thanks!

  7. You blog is amazing!! I’m not the type of girl to wear a bold lipstick, especially a deep red, like the RMS rapture. However, when i received a sample, it was TO DIE FOR! It’s the only red I can pull off and feel comfortable wearing it. It’s definitely a must have, that I will purchase full size in future! All of the RMS lip to cheeks are must haves and havn’t come across one I don’t like yet 🙂 Great look 🙂 xx
