I’ve talked about anxiety and stress on my blog before and also did a post on Natural Remedies for Anxiety and Stress a year ago. So, I wanted to do a little bit of a follow up on that. I still recommend all of the products in that post but I am constantly trying new things and researching myriad ways to help cope with anxiety. I deal with chronic pain and health issues that have caused my body to be in a some-what of a constant fight or flight mode and this does not make for an easy time. I’m naturally a very sensitive person. When you combine that with chronic pain, well let’s just say I struggle with severe anxiety and often very bad panic attacks. I have a ” little” bit of an obsession with all things aromatherapy. It’s amazing to me how a quick sniff of a beautiful essential oil can lift ones mood or calm ones senses. I never cease to be fascinated by the immense benefits of aromatherapy!
I’m so happy to share with all of you the blends that I currently love and carry around with me in my bag at all times:
- Badger Balm Stress Soother – key ingredients: tangerine, rosemary, roman chamomile, cedarwood, spearmint. benefits: “Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil deeply moisturizes while pure essential oils uplift and encourage you. In traditional aromatherapy, Rosemary instills clear thinking and confidence; Tangerine and Spearmint are uplifting and cheering; Cedarwood helps build inner strength; Roman Chamomile and Lavender are soothing and relaxing, and Rose is all about love and forgiveness.”
- H. Gillerman Organics Stress Remedy – key ingredients: lavender, vetiver, red mandarin, sandalwood, clary sage, tangerine, blood orange. benefits: “This blend helps you find the composure to make thoughtful choices, so your day can flow smoothly. The serene lavender/citrus/woodsy scent soothe your senses.”
- Aveda Stress Fix – key ingredients: french lavender, lavandin and clary sage. benefits: “Reach for this rollerball whenever life gets stressful. The aroma proven to relieve feelings of stress-includes essences of lavender, lavandin and clary sage from organic farms and is formulated using the science of aromaologyTM and the power of pure essential oils.”
- Bach Rescue Remedy Spray – key ingredients: star of bethlehem, rock rose, cherry plum. benefits: “has been used successfully on stressful days where we suffer from impatience, tension and pressure. It has also been used successfully with children to stop a tantrum, before a speech or job interview. Rescue® Remedy helps us relax, get focused and get the needed calmness”

Love this, I’m sooo into aromatherapy and essential oils lately, these sound awesome!
I love aromatherapy – it’s truly wonderful. What are some of your favorite essential oils?
i nearly bought that bach rescue spray yesterday! gah wish i had now haha. i used to dab a bit of peppermint oil on my temples. sometimes i spray lavender oil mist on my sheets/pillowcases. i wash with dr bronners lavender castille soap to start or end my day with some calming scents!
Hey 🙂 You should definitely pick up the bach rescue next time you see it. I definitely recommend it. It does work and fast. Peppermint oil on temples is wonderful, especially for headaches! It’s great on the back of the neck to. Lavender oil is one of my favorites. So wonderful. I adore dr bronners soaps – all of them!
I love the Rescue Remedy Spray! Sara Snow mentioned it on her website once, and I’ve been hooked ever since. Luckily I don’t need to use it too often though. LOL.
The Grass Skirt
It’s great right!? It works really fast. I love it!
In the past, i make attack panic.. Now i work hard to relax everyday..
Here is a translation :
I no longer have panic attacks for a long time, since I have tools that help me enormously. Plants are a cure for me .. I use a lot of valerian root which I boil for late evening or before a stressful event. Otherwise, the sacred tea with lemon balm basil and a little licorice. The holy basil is a hypotensive, and since I already very low blood pressure, I add the licorice (hypertensive) to balance. I take baths with lavender and I try to breathe (even in my belly) I also live with chronic back pain and neck (car accident) and endometriosis. This can help as you say in my case a major irritant ..
Britanie thank you for sharing your stuff against stress
Thanks Kiri for translation :))
Hey Britanie! there’s this brand called Saje it’s based in Canada but they ship to the states I’m sure. There’s some amazing aroma therapy and skincare products, I’m going to get my hubby to buy some stuff for me this Christmas. http://www.saje.ca Let me know what you think of their stuff! I hope you do a review on them.
Hey Sheila,
Thank you for your comment and for the recommendation. I just checked out the Saje website and am very intrigued to try their products! Thank you so much
I love Lotus Wei perfumes. I get the sampler pack, and use the different scents depending on my mood. Quiet Mind and Inner Peace are good for relaxing and smell delicious. I also always have lavender oil around the house.
Lotus Wei is wonderful. I did an entire review of her products awhile back. Quiet Mind was my favorite. I need to pick myself up another bottle of that actually! It had such a delicious scent to it. I used to spray it on my pillow cases before bed!
Love Badger Balms! I have the sleep one and the scent is just so relaxing 🙂 x
I love everything from Badger! I think I need to try the sleep balm next
What a great post! I suffer from anxiety, and don’t want to take any nasty medications. I am going to buy a few of these! Thanks!! 🙂
